Nice bank holiday break.

I had a great experience at the Derbyshire, the check in was smooth, the rooms were ok, the spa was great and the breakfast was great too. The location was 5 minutes from a huge outlet mall whichcwas handy.

Pros: Convenience of location
Location: Peaks district national park is 20 minutes away plus an outlet centre is just 2 minutes by car.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable facilities. Good value.

Nice room but £20 extra for a late checkout?

Posted 28-Apr-2015 on Hotels
Can't fault the room at all really, apart from the fact the toilet seat didn't stay up without holding it and a small issue with the key cards. The only thing I found a little annoying was the £20 charge for a late check out of 2 extra hours. Room was clean and comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful.

pleasant comfortable hotel convenient location for road links. polite friendly staff and clean rooms, only personal negatives were no food available after 10pm except room service with high tray charge and beds quite soft so not good for me as I need firm support for back

Cosy

Posted 21-Jan-2015 on Hotels
I had a 2 night stay, the room was a good size and very cosy, I turned the heater off one night. The shower had a good pressure and was warm straight away (was also nice to have a preset temperature dial and not have to mess around with mixer taps). The bed was very very comfortable, I had no trouble getting to sleep as it was quiet too. I didnt eat in the hotel this stay but gorged at the Brewers Fayre across the road. The wifi connection was solid and fair (would lag a bit for Facetime). The room had plenty of power outlets and lamps, the television was an old cathode ray type and only had a few channels but the signal for them was fine.

Very nice hotel

Posted 19-Jan-2015
Pros: made to feel very welcome, breakfasts have a very wide range of choice and hotel is dog friendly.
Cons: some bookings are room only on expedia. b'fast £10 if booked at hotel. Expedia charge £14.95!
Location: business trip so no local activities but Mcaruthur glen shopping mall less than 1 mile away.
Great hotel -clean, comfortable and easy access from M1. Good sports facilities. Dog friendly adn staff very helpful and accommodating.
