This is a very modern building. The rooms facing the completely enclosed courtyard have absolutely no traffic noise despite their proximity to the train, Old Town and the interstate. The bed was very comfortable. The only downside was the light leakage under the door to the hall and a half dozen LEDs, which are located in places that can be covered. We were able to get free breakfast on the 8th floor.
Very clean and comfortable, even if a little dated. Only one elevator was working though with no stairs nearby, leading to some build ups that caused some people to not be able to get on and wait several minutes for it to come back.
The whole hotel was very nice and clean. The room and the bathroom were spacious and looked new. The staff was always courteous. I especially enjoyed the friendly greeting by one of the bellhops who worked the evening shift. A Starbucks in the hotel was a bonus. My only complaint would be the price of the parking ($34 is expensive). Also, our cards key cards worked 75% of the time (for the room and garage).
My wife and I stayed here for five nights while taking in the sights in Washington DC, and Alexandria. The Hotel was spacious, accommodating, and very clean. The staff was excellent. Very courteous, professional, and helpful in every way. The restaurant and dining was very enjoyable. I found the coldest beer in Alexandria right there in the dining room.
This place is very convenient for the Metro and trolleys. I highly recommend the Hilton Inn Garden Resort to anyone interested in a fine Hotel experience.

Ideally situated just two blocks from the King Street Metro station in the charming historic district of Old Town Alexandria …More
We were looking for a hotel with wifi and a pool. We got that and more. Nice weekday breakfast with choices that made everyone happy. The shuttle to the Van Dorn Metro station was our next bonus. Used it daily. Pretty quick response time, when it wasn't rush hour traffic.
King Suite was comfortable and clean. Loved that we had 1.5 baths. Staff was polite and helpful. I will keep this hotel in mind on future trips to DC. Have already given the address to 2 friends asking how our trip went.
Eminently walkable, Old Town Alexandria offers a glimpse of early America through its 4,000 historic homes and businesses. Many visitors begin their tour at the Ramsey House Visitors Center, near the center of Old Town. One highlight is The Athenaeum art gallery, a Greek Revival structure where legendary Civil War Gen. Robert E. Lee once banked. Don’t miss Mount Vernon, George Washington’s estate.
