Everything was lovely. Room was generous sized and bed was plush. We enjoyed the cocktail bar at night. Lots of cozy nooks and corners to relax around the hotel. Breakfast was great - one we would go out of our way to pay for in a restaurant.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The hotel has an incredible aesthetic. The fireplace in the lobby is awesome and the place smells good because of it. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There is a sauna and cold plunge in the ocean that is super cool.... you can also book outdoor bathtubs. Once of the best experiences I had travelling to Norway.

The hotel was nice but the staff at the front desk was not very friendly. We struggled finding a place for dinner. There was just a shrug with the shoulder and a comment „it’s Norwegian summer holidays plus a lot of tourists“ True but not helpful… No other help offered Furthermore the Lobby is very cozy but it comes with an intense smell of smoke. Very unpleasant und unhealthy. Too bad. Looked so inviting

A Nice Spot in Alesun
They’re for a few days for work. The room was very comfortable and had an excellent view of the canal. The fitness area was also very nice. However, the sink leaked directly onto the floor below it and the walls are very very thin. If the person next door shut their door, my bed rattled. We weren’t able to get into the hotel restaurant any night we were there but did enjoy their bar. Overall, a very nice stay.

Beautiful boutique hotel ridge in the centre. Swim in the harbour followed by the outside bath was an incredibly unique experience. Breakfast outstanding, can’t wait to return one day.

We loved everything about this property. The staff were friendly & extremely helpful, the rooms comfortable, the location was central & the total environment relaxing. We ate lunch & 2 x dinners in the restaurant - everything was exceptional - the food, the service, choice of wines etc. We had a junior studio suite which had a view of the canal. It was a very comfortable room. The hotel had been designed from an old warehouse building some space has been lost due to where pillons are, for example our shower was tight due to having a huge wooden pillon in the bathroom! Apart from that, our stay was most enjoyable.

Brosundet was such a calming and casual chic hotel. After a long day of walking and exploring, it was so perfect to park up with a book (and free coffee/tea) next to their cozy fireplace. I also loved the brand of bath/shower products they provided - I ended up buying a candle to bring home! Also - the free breakfast is fantastic and the location is spot on!

Very kind and helpful staff. Outstanding breakfast. A little frustrated that most of the nearby shops and restaurants were closed due to Three King’s holiday. This is not the hotel’s issue. Would definitely stay here again.

A true gem ! Wonderful property, great breakfast and super comfortable large room, great gym and sauna and yoga room, we loved it here and were sad to leave . We happened to be here for Norway’s national day (May 17) and the parade was walking distance from the hotel. We love this place .

I absolutely loved this property. It was cozy and beautiful and ideally located. The breakfast was fantastic, and the staff was very friendly. We stayed in two different rooms, including the lighthouse. Even though we ran out of hot water (at the lighthouse), the staff was quick to offer a solution - albeit, somewhat inconvenient - but they were nice about it. Really liked the overall feel of this hotel. There is a tiny parking garage just around the corner, and that worked out well for us.

There are many tests of a good hotel, and this one passed all of them. I can't recall staying anywhere that felt so homely, yet unique and special, and somewhere I was very reluctant to leave! The elegantly simple design of the interior, the numerous cosy rooms where you could work, read, drink, relax, the fantastic location in the heart of one of Norway's most beautiful towns; all combined to create a wonderful and memorable stay. The restaurant was fantastic as well - a truly memorable meal, with a great wine list. The staff were friendly and attentive, but never intrusive.

Amazing gem of a hotel. Will be back.
We regret only staying for one night during our Norway trip as this hotel is absolutely amazing. Firstly, the staff is incredibly nice, polite and accomodating making you feel at home. We were on a road trip so happened to arrive a good few of hours early and the reception staff managed to find us a room to check in regardless. The fireplace in the middle of the hotel is so relaxing and smells amazing. The whole hotel is built on an old wooden structure whose beams you can see in all rooms and throughout the hotel and they have definitely made the best of it. The layout and interior design is top - very current, natural and luxurious at once. The rooms are spacious with great lighting and seating options and the shower (amazing water pressure) with underfloor heating and the toiletries of great quality. Breakfast was excellent and there was even a complementary light meal at 6pm for all guests which was totally unexpected. Finally it's location and building. Excellent hotel, bar and coffee shop (high quality roasted coffee and machine) are well known in the city and super busy. We had drinks and food and they were excellent whilst the view of the harbour was too. Highly highly recommended.

Excellent location. Courteous, helpful staff. Superlative service! Fireplace that severs as a communal gathering place is a nice touch. Clean. If there’s anything that can be improved: it’s the complimentary breakfast. I was tempted to skip it and go to a nearby coffee shop.

This is a fantastic hotel. The staff are lovely and so helpful. The hotel is peaceful, beautiful and incredibly relaxing. There are lots of comfy sofas and quiet areas in which to read a book and enjoy the complementary tea and coffee or a glass of wine from the bar in front of the fire. The breakfasts were amazing. The hotel room itself was perfect and had a private nook for our teenage son to hideaway in.
