Location was perfect for an early Doctor’s appointment at UNM. Rooms were small compared to other hotels, no coffee maker in the room, and no complimentary breakfast for the price of $85.00 The heater was so noisy it woke me all night. The light in the bathroom has a noisy vent, and always comes on with the light. very loud. There was no information in the room for the office or for restaurants in the area. No tv guide, very low quality amenities. Had a small microwave and refrigerator. And the morning office help was put out because we needed to check out before 8 am and retrieve our deposit. I’ve stayed in this hotel years ago and in Santa Fe, and I was very disappointed in this one.

The Staff Gave my room away even after i called to notify them i was arriving late due to flight delays. I told them i was fine paying for the first night (i arrived at 7am) but when I arrived, they informed me they had given my room to another guest. You can understand how LIVID i was at that point. DO NOT GIVE THESE PPL YOUR MONEY!!!

All staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive. Level of room ceanliness and overall service is top-notch, on-par with upscale hotels. Security and motel staff do an excellent job of detering all manner of riff raff and maintaining a safe, healthy environment for guests. They even go as far as regularly pwerwashing terraces, walkways, and other common areas.

Communication was poor.
Well I know this is a cut rate place but still - no coffee - no tissues - no microwave-no refrigerator - flies in the room - The people working there were nice enough - could have provided a little more info - like take CASH to park at the balloon fest - there will be at least an hour wait on the highway to get into the festival grounds - would have made life so much easier had we just been told! Plus -apparently -this is a bad part of town - literally a murder at the Circle K the week before - and we walked to dinner before someone at the restaurant told us this!

What we liked was that it was close to the freeway and was easy access go where we needed to go. What we didn't like were the curtains in the room didn't block out the light coming in from outside thoroughly.

The door card reader took 6-9 tries each time to unlock. Noise road area. Noisy guests arguing outside of our room during the nights. Last morning found a bug in our bedding. Sparse furnishings, bed, tv and plastic desk chair.

The check in was super fast and friendly. The room itself was not really clean -dirt on the floor, dust on the flat surfaces and looked like bathroom floor has not been cleaned. Saw a bug around the sink area. Eh we didn’t die -it was one night but I would not use again.

Had reservations at another location. They relocated me due to them overbooking for same price and less amenities. In a “nonsmoking” room. Door to outside didn’t even lock right. My two year old could open it. Terrible!

What you expect for a Motel 6. Clean, friendly staff. No creamer for 3 days at the coffee station. Very uncomfortable, lopsided old mattress. Other than the bed & mornings coffee, it was okay

I do ride in a wheelchair so the hill was a pain in the ass. But everything was 4 stars. No bath tub was a bummer for me but the pool looked inviting.

I was on my way to see some friends in Arizona and the hotel was mid point. Everything was fine till the next day. I woke up and the back of my leg was sore. I had my friend check it out and it looks like some type of bite marks. It is very painfull. Maybe check beds before finish making them in case of some type of insects

Security guard in tactical gear and uniform scared the crap out of us at 10 pm to pound on door below our assigned floor when we were walking to our room, office worker was extremely rude, place smell like pee,, the only high quality motel was booked on Menaul. I don't intend to stay here anymore.

The Midtown Motel 6 is in an industrial area far away from any shopping/dining.or other amenities. The only things nearby are freeways and industrial buildings. Everything about the Midtown Motel 6 is bad. The office was locked and secured from entry, prison-like. I had to pass my documents from outside through a slot under a solid bullet proof window shield. The impression was very unfriendly/bad with the desk clerk difficult to hear but I could not get out of this because I booked on-line an hour earlier through expedia. The room was sparse, a bed (no bed spread covering the sheets), one plastic chair, a table, the tv with limited channels (40), a toilet, sink, and a shower with no shower curtain ( I had to change rooms to get a shower curtain). No carpeting anywhere, no fridge, no microwave, no hair dryer, no complimentary shampoo, no in-room coffee service. The property outside is dirty with garbage scattered about and has potholes and pieces of concrete curb in the driveway access to my motel room. The exterior does not look well maintained. After sunset, the area around the motel is a dangerous, dark place to be avoided. I wouldn't risk an evening walk. Instead, I wrote this review. After this bad, disappointing experience, I will avoid Motel 6 in the future and will never book a room there in advance ever again.

Filthy! Don’t do it!
We were there for 6 nights, in 2 different rooms, we NEVER saw housekeeping. The trash kept piling up, we kept taking it out ourselves. The 2nd room we walked across the floor after showering and our feet were immediately dirty. We called the desk for housekeeping and were told they would come, we waited 5 hours, asked a housekeeper who told us our room was not her assignment, asked another who said the same but added “We’re really busy but maybe somebody can get to you tomorrow.” The first room had someone’s hair stuck to the headboard when we checked in. As someone who frequently travels with pets, I’ve been a loyal Hotel 6 customer for many years but this visit reflects badly on the entire chain! To make matters worse, this is not in a safe area, more than once we had street people approach our door. And because some of our nights were during Balloon Fiesta, we paid over $150/night for some of these nights. I would not recommend anything about this hotel!
After showering we had to go back and wash our feet.  The floor was not mopped, just swept out.
AFTER we cleaned the floor with towels, my feet still got dirty walking just from the shower to the bed.

Nastiest Room I've Ever Stayed In
The room was absolutely disgusting. The floor was not swept and had mud, food and dirt everywhere. The bathroom was something of a horror movie. I did not even feel comfortable sleeping under the sheets, not to mention our "non smoking" room smelled like a carton of cigarettes. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

This was the smalles hotel i have ever stayed in to the point when we went to bed my leg was touching the ac. No tissued no storage. No fridge. No microwave. Smelt like aweful purfume. Floor is all messed up and lifting. Horriable for the price we paid! Will not stay again. Not even worth 60 a night for the size. Beds were used but not aweful.

They said it was recently renovated, sure didn't look it. The lock inside the door didn't work. The hotel seems very old. The pictures make it look better than it was. Said there would be coffee in the morning, but nothing. Cleaned our room 1 day but not the next.

Had booked 5 nights, the reviews I read were favorable but the motel was not. The room was painted concrete, about 10x12, half used bars of soap at sink, shower. Burn marks in bathroom sink, floor. Even though they advertise all rooms as non smoking the room stank of ashtray. We toughed it out 2 nights and told them why we were leaving. My wife was getting sick from the smell. The woman as the front desk came to the room and said she could smell it. She admitted she didn't have the greatest sense of smell so she had a maintenance man come and smell the room. She said he couldn't smell it either, but in Spanish he said he could. The smell got worse if you ran the air conditioner. For reference I smoked for 40 years and this room stank of smoke. They insisted they were charging me $280 for that day even though I informed them at 10am prior to checkout that we wouldn't be spending the additional three nights there. Just poor customer service, no offer of other room or anything. The room was dirty, dirt and debris on floor, hairs on toilet bowl, bathroom sink, the linen on bed had many hairs stuck to it (probably poor laundry machines). We had the unfortunate timing of coming for a funeral during the balloon festival and the rates were high everywhere. We ended up someplace else for almost the same rate and it was like night and day difference.

One of the worst properties I’ve stayed at. Zero amenities. They don’t provide any housekeeping. The room comes with the bare minimum, literally one set of towels and a bar of soap. No toiletries, no hair dryer, no iron. Most rooms don’t have a mini fridge or a microwave either which I guess you have to pay extra for. There is no kind of breakfast or any perks whatsoever. The pool that was advertised is half empty and filled with algae and pine needles. The first room I was assigned had curtains that were literally halfway falling off the wall. I had to insist on being moved to a safer room, as a single young woman traveling alone in a new place. Especially with the clientele and the vibe of the area. Could be a set out of Breaking Bad. My hotel room key stopped working every 12-24 hours, so I couldn’t get into my room unless I went to the front desk to get a new key. Fortunately the times this happened to me, the office was open. Had the office been closed, I would have been locked out of my room in an unfamiliar city. Overall a very unsafe and uncomfortable experience.
