“Good for the price.”

Not for someone looking for deluxe service, but good for those on a budget.

“We would definitely recommend this hotel!”

We were delighted with the hotel overall. It is older, but it was clean and in a convenient location. It had everything we needed, including internet access in the room as well as two computers and a printer in the lobby. The breakfast was quite good and had a good variety (even boiled eggs!) to choose from for a continental breakfast. We found the staff to be exceptional, helpful as well as friendly! The only flaw, and I say this only for your enlightenment, is the small sink area and the fact that the light over the sink turns on with the one in the separate toilet/bathtub area. That was a little inconvenient, especially in the middle of the night. We thought the hotel was a great value.

“hotel review-:: Hotel Blue, Albuquerque, NM”

I was rally satisfied w/the hotel. The breakfast buffet was good; the gated parking lot (free) was a real bonus. The room had a HD flat-screen TV, refrig, microwave; and the toilet articles --- aside from the usual shampoos and lotions (which I used)-- included a comb, shaving cream, razor (dsposable), toothbrush. (I used none of the above). I did use the coffee maker.

“Good value”

The hotel staff were attentive and courteous, and check-in was smooth. There is an airport shuttle, that I didn't know about when I booked, but the taxi from the airport wasn't too steep. I was in town for a conference at another hotel, and the shuttle also ferried conference attendees back and forth from that between 6AM and 10PM, which was both very convenient and much cheaper than twice daily taxis for a week. The room was clean and comfortable, and although the free Wifi in the hotel is spotty, they do supply ethernet cords to connect in your room. There were only two downsides to the hotel, that I encountered: (1) your window looks onto the "hallway" balcony (think motel sidewalk) which means you mostly want to keep it closed and (2) if you are on the back side of the building, there is a bar across the parking lot that plays loud (sometimes bad, live) music some nights.

“Gem of a place”

You can feel (and see) how the owners of Hotel Blue care about this diamond in the rough. Renovation is well done. Lobby is well above standard. Aesthetics matter to these folks. The neighborhood isn't as rough as it may appear at first glance. This place has character and is perfectly liveable. I'll definitely stay there whenever I'm back in ABQ.

“definitely would go back”

Despite the negative comments, I enjoyed my stay in Hotel Blue. First of all, they provide free shuttle. Picked me up from and sent to the airport. During my stay there, I even took the shuttle to the Old town and the Pueblo Cultural Center. And the driver was also kind enough to pick me up at those places. The location is perfect. It is on the end of the main street in downtown. I felt quite safe as a solo female traveller. There are some very nice restaurant right near the hotel, within a couple of minutes walk.

“I stay there every time I'm in town”

The Hotel Blue Downtown was beyond anything that I would have expected. I will not stay anywhere else in town.
