“No Hot Water and No Heat”
Can you imagine, after 11 hours in airports and planes, to check into an hotel, and find out tht there is no hot water, ie. no shower for the weary traveller. When I notified the desk, the very nice clerk said that it was due to a large amount of check-ins that day, who had obviously used up all the hot water. I kept upping the thermostat in the room but I couldn't get over 66 degrees, which for me, at high altitude, was far too cold. Stay elsewhere,
“Pretty Nice Hotel”
The bathtub was a little worn and the room service was extremely slow plus very pricey...but otherwise a nice hotel. Beds were very comfy.
“excellent!”
you can't go wrong staying at hotel albuquerque
“Great location and good service”
This is lovely hotel in a great location, close to Old Town and shopping. The staff was superb in answering questions and offering suggestions for dining and touring around,
“Old Town Delight...”
My husband and I love to visit Old Town when we are in Albuquerque, so I booked us into the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town. Upon entering the lobby, the young fellow behind the desk, Dylan, couldn't have been more welcoming. He was friendly, courteous, and got us squared away in our room quickly. We were on the 7th floor and the room was large and comfortable, with a king-sized bed (many pillows!), a comfy chair and table, desk and armour with a large TV in it. All furniture had a Southwest flair, including the carpet. The bathroom was very clean, with large, thick towels and amenities...hair-dryer, Aveda soap and products. From our room we could see the Sandia Mountains and we had a pleasant surprise on Sunday morning: about 15 hot air balloons were floating north of us practicing for the Balloon Fiesta in October. The Hotel is a block away from Old Town, and it was an easy walk back and forth to the room. It was well worth the price for one evening.
“Great location!”
Nice pool, decorated well in southwest style, interesting historical displays, adjacent to Old Town in convenient location.
“Its a Big Hotel”
Its a very nice hotel but big. The front desk workers, are not very attentive and it seems they were not from Albuquerque, did not know many information nor they were very helpful. The hotel, although is big, is nice, but the restaurant, bar and room service have very limited hours, all close by 10 pm or earlier, and if you want to eat late there is nothing close by.
“Very satisfied”
The hotel is very nice. The grounds are well kept; the pool is very nice; service was good; personnel were friendly and helpful; room was nice with rustic styled furniture and a very comfortable bed. The building exterior is a little dated but the interior lobby is nice. Location is very convenient to Old Town (walk) and the are several restaurants and cafes nearby. Very close to I-40 but far enough away that there is no traffic noise. The only issue I had was that the air conditioner was very LOUD. I got used to it but it really was noisy. I would stay there again.
“Hotel ABQ”
Ideal stay in ABQ. Within walking distance of the Old Plaza and near to everything downtown. The hotel is very nice.
“Needs attention to cleanliness”
The hotel building was okay in terms of its level of maintenance. The front desk staff were friendly. We found that our bathtub did not drain so we were standing ankle deep in water while showering. We asked for it to be attended to the next day but it was not, nor did we have a staff member approach us with an explanation/apology. Our toilet was not cleaned after day one of our stay, the drain hole in the sink was not clean around the edges - slimy black mold was visible. Our main complaint is hygiene -- it was not even up to three star standard. We would not go there again.
