Very good location! Very central to everything in the city--walkable to all the high points in Granada, including the Alahambra. Rooms were clean & good size. The high point was the staff! For instance, we were traveling to Madrid and had to call the hotel to let them know we were arriving late-the Madrid hotel reception hung up on us twice when we asked if they spoke English. The receptionist at Hotel Casa 1800 Granada made the call for us. They were very friendly and always willing to help!
This was our favorite hotel on our 10 day trip to Spain. The hotel is a short walk from the town square but it felt like a world away. It is near the entrance to the Albayzin or moorish section of Grenada and though it sits on a major pathway it is quiet and serene inside. Our room was spacious with tiled floors and a wood ceiling. The dark wood- framed windows opened up to the back of the building and a narrow walkway. The white linens were luxurious and our bathroom was spa-like with two sinks and a whirlpool tub. Though we didn't take baths, it worked well to rinse out our clothing. With only 15 rooms this hotel was charming and welcoming. They offered a wine tasting event in the evening. They were also able to make reservations for us at the Alhambra.

We recently had a wonderful stay at Casa Morisca and wish that we had stayed longer. The location at the base of the Albaicin neighborhood (part of the old city) is unparalleled. We were a quick walk from some of the best parts of town and could see some of the outbuildings of the Alhambra from our window/balcony even though we stayed in one of the more basic rooms. The hotel courtyard is also a calming place with some sitting areas for reading or reflection.
Victor, the gentleman at the front desk, was very helpful and polite. He also seemed to genuinely care for and appreciate Granada when describing things to do. He was almost disappointed for us when we said we were only staying the one night (which we ultimately ended up being disappointed about too).
The room was very clean and definitely met our needs. It was a little tight for space, but we also had larger, rolling bags for the cross-ocean flight that we had to fit. There were two twin beds, which my wife and I also find a little disappointing, but again, we were in the lower room and the beds were very clean and fairly comfortable. We were also so tired from the Alhambra that we didn't notice.
We had a rental car and had some concerns about parking. The drive to the hotel is harrowing, but the hotel had blocked off a few spots for incoming guests which we were able to take advantage of during our stay.

This was the best hotel experience I've ever had. We lucked up and booked Room 11, which may be the best room in all of Spain and romantic, if that's what you need. The location in the Albaicin and proximity to the Mirador de San Nicolas and Sacromonte, the views of the Sierra Nevada and the Alhambra, the room comfort, the cleanliness, the staff, the delicious breakfast. This place has it all.

We have stayed at this hotel on 2 other occasions, we find the hotel is ideal for a visit to granada - central to everywhere. It is in a backstreet & the entrance is a shock at first BUT once inside it is great. Rooms are comfortable, style is lovely, decor is luxourious, Staff are very friendly & helpful (Most of them, we had one old grumpy breakfast waiter- maybe had a bad night). Breakfast is a well tabled buffet with a good variety, (toaster is a good burner of bread as it is slow first time through - 2nd pass rapidly Chars - get there early & manipulate the speed). pleasant to sit outside in the inner Courtyard & start the day. We enjoyed this 3rd visit & would certainly go again in the future.
