During our visit to Spain we wanted to stay in a hotel that had old Spain charm. We couldn't have picked a better hotel. Among 4 hotels we stayed in Spain, Casa 1800 was the most memorable one. It had the great old archtectural look to it, well kept facility, beautiful court yard, comfortable and clean rooms, and great afternoon tea/coffee servings.
The staff at the hotel was great as well. Before our arrival, the staff contacted us over e-mail giving us the detailed instruction on how to get there. Obviously some people have difficult time when using GPS. We didn't have any issue as we have taken a taxi from a train station.
A beautiful and unique hotel that was as wonderful in real life as it looked in the pictures. We had a deluxe room which was very comfortable and had plenty of space. The gentleman at the desk was very helpful and spoke excellent English. If you plan on driving, be sure to go to the hotel's website to get instructions for how to find the hotel, and, very important, to send your license plate number to the hotel. Driving there through Granada was quite scary and involved a lot of narrow, pedestrian streets (which you are allowed on only if you are staying at a hotel in the neighborhood). Worth the drive, but we were very thankful to have that info ahead of time! The location couldn't be better - lots of good restaurants within walking distance, and a stunning view of the Alhambra just across the river (about a 15 minute walk - uphill.) Highly recommended.

Beautiful historical hotel in the heart of downtown Granada close to (within walking distance) of many sight-seeing locations, but off the main thoroughfare about 1/2 block so that you have a very quiet and romantic setting for relaxation and rest. We especially enjoyed the morning breakfasts and were spoiled by local sweets prepared by Raul, one of the innkeepers. Everyone was pleasant and helpful in a country where we did not know our way around. They treated us like "home folk." We'd stay here again if we got the opportunity to return to Granada. A great city, and a great place to stay!!

The hotel is in a historic old building with interesting architecture. The room was small, but it added to the experience of being in Granada. We faced the street, but with the doors/ windows closed it was quiet. It is in the centre of town, on a lively street and possible to walk to most sites. The hotel was able to serve us an early breakfast on both mornings we were there, as we had to be at the Alhambra one morning, and at the train station the other morning.

Ana was great and the entire experience in Granada was wonderful. The check-in was easy and Ana was great, spoke perfect English, and had a great sense of humor. She explained the map and gave some great suggestions. The hotel was in a quiet area and easy to walk to the restaurants and bars in the main area.

We were very happy with the actual apartment. We had a little trouble with the door of the apartment when we entered as the door was jammed in. But the apartment itself was beautiful and had a very beautiful view of the Alhambra right outside. The rooms were spacious and the decor very pleasing. We were 6 people staying at the apartment and it was spacious enough for all of us.
The only other issue I would have is the fact that there was no elevator to the apartment and we had to take the bags to the room carrying them.
