Please go eat at Black Beards on Slappy. Great Staff and you get your money worth. Best of all the food is great!

“Noisy”

For some reason, half of the rooms on the first floor had their doors locked open. There may have been a family reunion or something going on, don't know. Later in the evening and continuing through the night several of the doors were apparently closed in a noisy manner. This seemed to happen all through the night and was a distraction to say the least. Otherwise, the hotel amenities were excellent. Breakfast was nothing to brag about, prepackaged sausage biscuits aren't exactly my cup of tea for breakfast.

Area recommendations

Did not explore must beyond the immediate area surrounding the hotel. Went to the Johnny Carrino's Restaurant which was outstanding.

“family gathering”

We have tried several hotels in Albany and I liked Best Western best. After driving all day to get there we were pleased with all aspects of the stay.

“"Not bad for the price"”

This was was our second time staying at this particular hotel. Even though there were "no smoking" signs on the doors upstairs you could clearly smell the smoke when you entered the floor. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable. The fixtures were old and could stand to be replaced but, overall they were decently clean. The staff was very friendly and accomodating and the continental breakfast was a hit with the kids. Loved the convenience of the location to our family and friends and shopping. We will consider staying again when we come home.

“Room Odor”

Room smelt like it had been a renovated smoking room. No real curtains on windows on ground floor. You could see in every room on ground floor from the parking lot.

“Very Impressed”

We had a very pleasant experience. We had stayed at this hotel 5 years ago and they have apparently renovated it. I was amazed at how quiet it was. We would definitely stay there again.

“No shampoo”

It was an older hotel with a few problems: no shampoo, the pool was closed for 2 out of our 3 day stay and the ice machine was broken. The staff was pleasant and the breakfast was okay.

“Second time and will return”

Worth every penny staff was exellent and will stay there again. Pictures were exactly as room. Good service and will used and recommend in the future.

“mad as he-- and wouldn`t go back”

I reserved two rooms and only got one , even though I showed the comfermation slip to the manager.====ADD===I had to go to another hotel for the second room that they said the did not have.(to find out the next day that the rooms were available)
