“Excellent Beach Hotel”

The hotel is directly on a very nice beach. The vegetation (palm trees, flowers, plants etc.), low rise buildings make for a tranquil getaway. The hotel has two excellent al a carte restaurants and a buffet. The service is excellent. If a beach experience is not what you want, then there isn't much else to do. However there is transport to Dubai for those that wish to experience the many tourist attractions that Dubai has to offer.

“Nice Hotel to Stay in.”

Nice Hotel This is my Second Staying in Miramar for a Holiday.. We were a group of Four families with young kids.. we stayed for 3 days/2 nights.. Very nice hotel. Good Pool/ Kids Pool, Wide Beach/ clean water/ water sports activity very cheap!! the Health Club was great, Indoor Pool/Sauna/Steaming/ Jacuzzi/gym. with morning timing for ONLY Ladies.. its good for Families..

“Would definitely return”

Very nice Middle Eastern themed hotel. We really liked the fact that you felt like you were not staying in a high rise hotel. The service was excellent and they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Although we only stayed for the weekend, we thought the quality of the food and choice of restaurants was really good. This was a good choice if you have kids as we really enjoyed both the beach and pool with the little ones.

When to go

Fujairah can get really hot in the summer time but with a "chilled" pool and plenty of shade, it was still enjoyable.

What to pack

Bring plenty of water from the outside as the resort charges ridiculous amount of money for their bottled water. We never understood that considering you couldn't go elsewhere to buy the water so you would be stuck paying through the teeth for a 500ml bottle of water.

“very mixed feelings”

Havign had a shocker of a check-in process - one and a half hours and literally on the verge of leaving to go to another hotel, after arriving in the room things did get better. The rooms itself I think are the hotel's saving grace for the shocking service at check-in and on reception. If you ask enough times, things get done but the quality of training needs to be stepped up to encourage staff to act like they care. We had to request a baby-sitter 5 times didnt have it confirmed until 1 1/2 hours before we wanted to go for dinner. BUT, Italian restaurant food was great and reasonably priced for this region (Pasta Marinara and carpaccio were excellent); pool service is below par and when we arrived there wasn't a bed in sight and no towels - we found it much more enjoyable hanging out by the beach but no real access to the bar then, but much more peaceful and private if you go a little further down the beach and the sea and beach were great. Rooms comfy; brekkie better than we expected it to be (again just issues with not enough high-chairs etc when it was really busy). Hotel is much more picturesque than the Meridien and main issue is just the service - if that could be improved, it would absolutely be the best hotel in the region as everything else was there.

“Enjoyable, may return but would think twice before I do”

The hotel is quite nice structurally. Quality of service has a long way before being rightfully labelled 'five star'. Waited for our room for 2 hours till 5PM, yet had to fight to get a later check out till 3PM (though eventually we managed a 4PM departure). Being a new property you can expect service standards to still have issues, however it's strange to see that the rooms already have stains on the wall, and ceilings (!?). Towel policy is strange and since the hotel was full the day we came in, we were told we were lucky to get two towel cards! Went to Sensasia for dinner, food was great, again though, basic service standards were lacking for a 5-star property. All in all a nice place, and would definitely consider going back, but would put a lot of thought into it, especially since there are a few other hotels to choose from!

“Would Return”

Very pleasant setting and hotel staff courteous and helpful. Room was very nice. Excellent buffet breakfast. The only complaint was that we called housekeeping four times to fix something in the room before someone eventually came.

“Miramar Al Aqah”

Prachtig resort voor een paar dagen. In de omgeving is niet echt veel doen dus voor mij niet geschikt om er langer dan 3 dagen te blijven. Maar verder is er op het resort zelf ook wel wat aan aktiviteiten te doen. Het enige wat ik miste was een simpele eetgelegenheid. Het was allemaal net iets te netjes.

Area recommendations

Het gebied, vooral het Hajar Gebergte is prachtig. Net buiten de stad Fujairah ligt Fort Hayl en das zeker een bezoekje waard.

“Eine Super Hotelanlage”

Bei fünf Sternen darf man einiges erwarten - wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Hotelanlage ist schön gestaltet, absolut sauber und großzügig. Es gab auch mittags Liegen im Schatten (in der Sonne sowieso), sowohl am Pool als auch am Strand. Läuft man dort länger, gibt's Teerflecken an den Füßen. Die Zimmer sind großzügig, alle haben Terrasse oder Balkon. In der Anlage war es abends ruhig. Hoher Preis für Interneraccess. Alle vier Restaurants (insbesondere das SensAsia) liefern gute Qualität und excellenten Service. Daß das seinen Preis hat, versteht sich von selbst, Pizza für fünf Euro gibt es hier nicht. Die Umgebung ist trist und staubig. Abenteuer oder Kultur sollte man eher nicht erwarten. Ideal für einen ruhigen, erholsamen Urlaub oder Urlaubsteil.
