“Nader”
The hotel needs a major renovation. Also, the management is not very strong. They had stored beds and other things outside of our room. The location is remote, but that is actually the charm of the location. I recommend the other two hotels that are right next to the Rotana.
“Good relaxing away from the city”
Like most hotels in fujeirah, you cannot really compare the to the 5 stars one of Dubai. However it's a great get away from the city of Dubai and very relaxing since the weather is much nicer. My baby girl loved it, especially the slide. The pool is great. We got ouwerselves upgraded to a family suite, since the normal room wasn't god enough for us. The room is nice, very basic! The bed is comfortable. I would recommend this hotel for people who are looking for couple of days out of the city, since the prices are very reasonable. However, the food is not that good so don't expect much quality.
“BIrthday Weekend Break”
Our night flight from Heathrow was perfect. Arrivng in Dubai to be greeted by the Rotana private taxi we were swiftly taken to the hotel. Almost 2 hours away, we were by the pool with our first cocktail by 11am. The spa was a delight and the gym well equipped with daily classes scheduled. The following day was my birthday and the staff were amazing, providing not 1 but 2 birthday cakes. Friday and Saturday is the local weekend and the hotel became much busier with a variety of different cultures. Throughout our stay the customer service was unfaulted with any requests duly and promptly adhered to. The staff were freindly without being overbearing. Rooms were immaculate with very comfortable beds and very spacious.
“Terrible customer service, would not recommend this hotel at all”
We visited this hotel for the Eid vacation in September 2009. The hotel was clearly unable to cope with the number of visitors at the time. Our room was still not available after 7pm the night we were supposed to check in and we were not the only guests to complain of this. Hotel staff were completely unhelpful in the situation. When we finally did get a room it smelled terrible, bathroom was leaking and air conditioning could not get below 26 degees. A lunch meal took well over an hour for only one of the meals we ordered to be delivered (other one forgotten) and at breakfast when we got up to go to the buffet, our table was given away to other guests. Truly terrible customer service and hotel all-round. Very disappointed as when we visited 2 years ago the experience was much different. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

“Best Hotel in Fujairah”
Location is great, very well positioned around the Fujairah mountains on the waterfront side. Staff are very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend this hotel in Fujairah area.

Dubai International Airport (DXB): Approximate driving time to Fujairah Rotana Resort & Spa - Al Aqah is 90 minutes and distance is 140 kilometres (87 miles).
Getting there: Airport transport can be arranged by the hotel and costs around 250 DHS each way. Taxis are available 24 hours a day outside the Terminal One arrivals hall. Limousine hire can be arranged in the arrivals hall.
Driving directions:From the airport, head east to the E611. Drive northwards and take the E88 east towards Al Dhaid. Drive for approximately 46 kilometres until Dibba/Fujairah. The hotel is situated on Dibba Road at Al Aqah Beach.
Getting around: The resort can be explored on foot. A hire car is recommended for travelling further afield.
