The hotel is in a nice location. near the sea, walk one direction along the seafront for lovely empty beaches, the other direction for to the old town and tourist beaches with wifi.
Easy to get to by bus from the airport. (OK I had a pre-microsoft Nokia N8 with GPS with me, so that helped, but would have been OK with printed maps).
My room was a little shabby, and the shower flooded the floor in the bathroom which didn't drain properly. And it was badly placed for the sun. However, for what I paid I was well happy. Had I paid the full whack for it, then I would not have been. But presumably, the cheap deals are offered on the lower quality rooms.

This Hotel was used by my Wife and I mainly because it was close to the centre of the Town. We had 15 nights and believed that the Hotel had a laundry service as advertised in EXPEDIA but on arrival this was found not to be the case so had to make our own arrangements. The restaurant food was rather basic but the evening meal could be had for a reasonable price and it was a buffet. Our SAFE in the room did not function so we kept all valuables with us for the entire time.

would not normally write a review of a hotel but after seeing some very poor words said of this hotel i felt i needed to send a factual report. this hotel is graded 2star and does everything you might expect of that grade. it is family run and simply furnished with a small outdoor pool. it does not claim to be anything but that. it is clean and has a decent continental style buffet breakfast and whilst the pool is not olympic sized it is also clean and open at all times for a refreshing dip. the hotel is well located for all that rhodes town has to offer and is minutes away from a wide selection of snack bars and restaurants to suit all budgets. it is great value for its price and for what it offers.
if you want a luxury hotel then look elsewhere but for a genuine 2star hotel right bang in the heart of rhodes town then this may just be it.......
This is a very good budget hotel which is very well placed for restaurants, the beach and Rhodes Old Town. The hotel is very clean and we'll maintained with the bed linen and towels being changed every day.
The hotel and restaurant staff are friendly and efficient and the food served is very good. The hotel manager, Fortis, was very helpful indeed when asked about ferries etc and he is a friendly and personable man.
I do recommend the Amaryllis Hotel and I know you will enjoy your stay there.

The hotel was very new. Shampoos and bathroom was really nice and clean. In overall everywhere was clean actually. Breakfast was amazing, we ate like 2kg of delicious food each person every morning. Lobby and architecture is stylish.
Downsides are wifi being accessible only in lobby and balconies and maybe first floor. And when we first arrived, they made us wait about an hour (which we just wandered around town and wasnt actually bad) and when we entered the room there were people inside who havent left yet. We would have entered at an inappropriate moment into the room.
We would definitely recommend this hotel
"Amazing- More like a Bed & Breakfast than a Hotel"
Regina (English spelling) took such good care of us from start to finish. My husband and I spent 3 nights at this bed & breakfast and loved it. The room was absolutely beautiful. The garden area where Regina cooked breakfast each morning for us was stunning. It was nice to eat traditional Greek food.
Regina gave us very good recommendations of places and restaurants to see based on our likes and dislikes.
We would definitely stay here again.
