We found this hotel better than expected. There was a bit of a strange smell in the room, not stinky per-say but just weird. The room and hotel in general is very spacious. Though the route national passes next to the hotel the noise was not very noticeable (aside from the odd loud motorbike). Due to the location there is not much of a view though the rooms have nice large windows. The area surrounding the pool is enclosed with a fence so it is not as spacious as it appears in the photos. During the evening of the 14th of July we wandered into Rousset and were pleased to find that the restaurants on the place du village set up tables outside and there was a Claude Francois cover band performing! We had a wonderful 3 course meal with drinks for only only 15 euro and thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment (though the lady at the front desk was unaware of any events that evening and couldn't recommend anything to us). The village seems to have events quite often so we recommend checking it out. Our main complaint concerns the management as the hotel is grossly understaffed. Nobody manned the bar next to the pool and we had to search for someone to help us. There was only one lady who worked during breakfast to take orders, serve clients and clean tables. The staff are very helpful but there are simply not enough of them.
After travel plans fell through we needed somewhere in Aix-en-Provence to stay pretty quickly, and we managed to book online that day very quickly and easily, and the staff were expecting us when we arrived. They were polite and friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable, with an enormous bathroom.
Difficult to find with our GPS, there is not actual address to load. Location is dreadful between factories. We never tried the Kyriad's restaurant, it was unavailable the days of our stay. The local area has no decent restaurants of its own. We found a "Paul" pastry store and bought pastries for breakfast. We were surprised to find that the grocery store was closed on Sunday in the town. The shower wall in our room was made of wood and had not been properly sealed. It"s shower head sprayed water in all directions causing a flood outside the shower stall.
