It was a gated, safe hotel that met all our needs in one place. Food options in the restaurant in the hotel were excellent. After a long day of traveling, it was so nice to eat in the restaurant downstairs and just go upstairs to bed.

Quiet property with secure onsite free parking. Rooms are extremely quiet with fast free wifi. Staff was excellent. Breakfast is extensive, but the coffee is from an automatic machine just like everywhere else - so really bad coffee in France! We walked into central Aix and it took 25 minutes on quiet streets. Many restaurants close by.

Worst hotel ever
I booked late and arrived at 11.30 pm and they did not have any room. They gave me a room that had already people inside sleeping. Everything chaotic, dirty and very bad experience that finished at 1am leaving the hotel without nowhere to sleep.

Nice hotel on outskirts of city
Hotel not central but very easy to get to with public bus number 4 from city centre. Great hot and cold breakfast which we ate sitting on shady terrace. Very relaxing start to the day.

I liked very little. The menus in the restaurant have very confusing prices. For example, a tea with the euro 14,50 lunch is advertised at euro 2. I took the euro 19 lunch formula and my tea went to euro 3 with no explanation. The manager was not helpful and, in fact, really rude!

Great staff! Very helpful, even those who spoke limited English made their best attempt to help. The room smelled and looked extremely fresh. The only downside was maybe its location. The local bus service stops right outside the hotel and run frequent services the city center on Mondays to Fridays and semi frequent services on Saturdays with barley existent services on Sundays (when most of the country is closed anyways). Note that the last bus from the city center leaves at roughly 21:ish (Mon-Sat) so if you plan to stay out past 9 be prepared to find a taxi!

Lower quality to others I have stayed in.
Not the easiest of hotels to find and in an area that felt slightly unsafe. A bit too far out of town to walk in for dinner but handy for a quick stop over. Room was ok, nothing special very basic. Felt a bit dated and in need to some modernising. Communal areas, reception and restaurant were in good order modern and clean but this wasnt reflected in the bedrooms. Very good breakfast and helpful attentive staff.

Standard Campagnile chain hotel offering all the usual facilities. Friendly staff, clean, no frills experience as expected. Situated about a 30 minute brisk walk, including a motorway sliproad, from Aix town centre, although a bus service does apparently exist

The hotel is OK. The room is very bad. We stayed in others Campanille and this one is by far the worst. The bad needs to be replaced asap. The pillow were beyond horrible, and had stain on the sheets. Not pleasing.

Check and double check your reservation
When we arrived at the hotel (on a Saturday), they didn't have a reservation for us. I showed them the mail from Expedia with our reservation dates and confirmation number. They claimed they had never received anything from Expedia. They gave us a room but at first refused to believe we really had a reservation or had pre-paid for the room. They insisted we forward the Expedia email to them. As far as I know, they didn't even attempt to contact Expedia to verify our reservation. I don't know if the screw-up was on their end, Expedia's end, or somewhere in the middle, but the system broke down somewhere. It was disturbing to have to argue with uncooperative staff over a reservation after a long day of traveling. In the end, they accepted that we had paid for the room.

Overnight Stay
Our first impression was this hotel was a refurbished motel. While the rooms led to an outdoor corridor and were quite small, the beds were comfortable with clean linen and the bathroom had a great shower. We chose this hotel because it was the closest to the center of Aix en Provence that was available, about 2km, and we were only staying for 1 night. Overall, clean and good value.

Clean, friendly, comfortable hotel with free parking not far from the center (by car). GPS was helpful finding it. The Viet bartender is a hoot, gave me a free Picon to try.

Clean, quiet, comfortable
This is a clean, modern, quiet hotel. The bed was firm and comfortable. The room was air-conditioned, and had a window cover which could be closed like a little garage door to shut out outside light. It is located in a quiet area on the outskirts of Aix-En-Provence, and has a private parking lot, which was important to me because I had a rental car. The staff speaks English. I would stay here again.

Comfortable, convenient, and modern hotel
Simple, clean, well illuminated rooms, with an efficient distribution of available space. Practically new furnishing and decoration. There is a small fridge and a convenient electric teapot for making coffee or tea. Good WiFi. Friendly staff. Just a 30 minute walk from center of Aix, or a 10 minute bus ride. The bus stop is just outside of the hotel, but beware that it only runs every 40 to 60 minutes on weekends, and the last run is around 9 pm. Since hotel is located in a safe area, one can walk peacefully back to the hotel from the city center even after midnight. This is a convenient location for visiting Marseille, the Calanques, Cassis, while remaining in the same peaceful place at nights.

The hotel is not located in aix en provence, although there is a bus right outside the door. The bus runs approximately every 20 minutes and it is a short ride to town. Hotel staff is mixed, some are friendly, others are not. Not very helpful in advising guests the highlights to see.

The hotel is located in a quite area not far from the centre of Aix-en-Provence, with ample parking and a bus stop directly outside the hotel. The room and bed were clean and comfortable.

The hotel is right off the main highway crossings of Aix-en-Provence and offers free parking. So it is advantageous for people with cars. It is about a 30 minute walk into the beginning of the center There is a nearby public bus into the center.. The hotel is more like a U.S. highway motel. It is modern and clean. A good shower with plenty of hot water. Strangely, the hotel policy is to give only one bath towel per person - no hand towels. This is a poor policy! Free wifi but it was weak as you moved away from the lobby, resulting in constantly losing service. Often had better wifi connection with some neighbor's unencrypted service - luckily for us! Hotel staff friendly and helpful.

'Cupboard' was too economical, but rooms and bathrooms have all the functionalities. There was just one English speaking channel available on TV. It was a good starting point to discover the neighborhood. A good idea to have coffe/tee making 'facility' in the rooms.

We stayed 3 nights in April. The hotel was located a bit far from downtown of Aix-en-Provence, however, since we had a rental car that was not a big issue for us. The room was quite, big, and neat. The washroom mirror was heated, so will never be fogged. It had everything we expected for a comport hotel, highly recommanded.
