“A practical airport hotel.”
For an overnight stay this was very suitable for us as it is near to Geneva airport with a bus stop outside to the airport and to Geneva. A few yards over the French border in Ferney Voltaire makes it very economical compared with Geneva prices but no disadvantage as far as travel is concerned. Entry to the hotel and your room is by individual number code provided on arrival and easy to use. Value for money given the cheap price. Did not get any disturbance from aircraft.
“Just ok”
Ok budget hotel Small breakfast room . Breakfast. Ok for 8 euro Tea coffe / yogurt / cereals / ham / cheese / juice / Croissants.
“It's Ok, just.”
Yet again the room did not have a sink plug,as I gather most other rooms didn't. The breakfast room s very small and sparse with a tight control on the food. But it does. Plus side, with double glazing it is quiet and near to the airport, with a bus route running past the hotel. It suited my purpose.
“Near the airport, budget. How to get to the hotel”
The room was small, but good value for the price. Breakfast was OK, but not worth the 8 Euros I was charged for it. The hotel is well situated for transportation. The buses stop outside the front door. It is actually in France, and the Buffalo Bill restaurant nearby was good. To get to the hotel from the railroad station, (Gare Cousivan?), you can take the F bus in front of the Post Office and get off at the first stop after crossing the French border. To get to the airport from the hotel, take the Y bus back towards the border, and get off at the Aeroport stop (about 5 or 6 stops), (2 Euros for the bus. I arrived by train, but I suspect that the Y bus can be used to get from the airport to the hotel. The hotel did not have a coke machine.
“Cheap but not great”
Very noisy and no air con. Can get pretty hot in the room byt couldn't open the window because of the noise from the street. Can't really complain because of the low price but wouldn't recommend it to anyone!
“Non-Smokers beware”
The border crossing is 50 yards from the hotel, which meant noise all night. The room smelled of cigarette smoke, plus a "freshener" to try to mask it. The pillow was under the sheet (no pillowcases). If you're a smoker with ear-plugs, you might want this place for its proximity to the Geneva airport. Otherwise, pay more for a hotel that gets at least one star.
“Good because of location”
This hotel was perfectly located just passed the border in to France. 10 minutes to Geneva centre in Carnivan by 1 bus. NOT GOOd however that they charged us 40euro for breakfast over 4 days (they orginally tried to bill us for days we weren't even there) that we didn't know about. There is no internet at the location, although they did tell us we could use the hotel down the road. Not sure if we would have ahd to pay though.
“Cheap and cheap”
Small rooms with small bathrooms, reasonably clean, you get what you pay for!! However, the reception is only open from 6-10am and 6-10pm. If you arrive outside of these times you have to walk 100m+ to another hotel to check in. Very close to airport, and only 20mins by bus to Genevas' city centre, bus stop opposite hotel.
“Basic Hotel”
Cheap and convienient for airport
“Smallest hotel room we've ever seen. Very uncomfortable beds. But great location, close to airport”
The location was great. Five minutes from the Geneva airport. And the little town of Ferney-Voltaire, France is quaint and lovely. But the hotel room was so small!! My husband said it was smaller than the state room of an old cruise ship with none of the charm. And I think the twin beds were "child size".
