“Not Impressed”

Taj mahal is very near to the hotel, it is a walkable distance of 5 min.

Area recommendations
Brindavan and Mathura are the nearest holy places which is 140 kms (appx), i took a taxi from the hotel which costed me Rs. 1000/- for both the places and Hamayun Fort in Agra. Taj group hotels has a good new look, much nearest than Bhoomi. One can get taj entrance ticket from the reception of the respective hotel with prior notice.

“Not Impressed”

We arrived in Agra after a long train ride from Delhi. The cab driver knew where to take us so there was no difficulty finding the hotel. We just found overall that the staff were quite unfriendly and uncommunicative. At other hotels that we'd stayed in the staff were welcoming and forthcoming with information. Also the rooms were astonishingly cold and there were no heaters. The decor was quite spartan but was mostly clean. The bathrooms were not dirty but they could use an extra bit of TLC. Anyhow, overall we were just unimpressed with the staff - the doorman was lovely but otherwise we had the feeling that we were 'tolerated' but not welcome. The food in the restaurant was quite plain and below expected standards so we only had one lunch there and ate out otherwise for meals.

Area recommendations
The neighbourhood was good - walking distance to Taj Mahal and the only reason to visit Agra from what we could see.

“not impressed”

The hotel is bare bones by US standards, but remember this is Agra, India, which, except for the Taj Mahal, is not a place most tourists would want to visit. Even by standards of other places in India this hotel is passable but not special. To call it a boutique hotel is a real stretch. It was clean, and the breakfast was adequate,, but nothing more.

Area recommendations
There is little to recommend in Agra other than the Taj Mahal, so plan a short stop there, and don't expect much from either hotels or restaurants. The Taj, on the other hand, is worth the trip.
When to go
January is the ideal time to visit India. Weather is beautiful, which is critically important given the heat and monsoons that affect much of the rest of the year.

“Nice hotel”

The hotel itself is very nice and clean, staff are friendly and it's good value. The only issue was our room which was a bit strange. Clean and with good air con and tv but the only room on the third floor, with 2 large windows by the door and blinds which you can see slightly into the room if you stand at the window. Also shower was pathetically weak, just a dribble. Hotel tried to rip us off by offering a taj mahal guide for 500 rs when the price at the gate is 50.

“Good Location, So So Facilities”

Hotel is somewhat hard to find. It is located off a small street. Service and room quality is similar to what you would find in an older motel found stateside. It definitely feels like the hotel has had better days. Not the worst I've ever stayed at, but a little disconcerting if you are not used to traveling abroad. In short, you'll be paying for location not luxury. If you plan on staying at this hotel make sure to have a print out of your reservation. There was some confusion at check-in on how prepaid rooms are handled. Apparently, its a somewhat new in India.

When to go
If you are planning to go see the Taj, go early in the morning.

“Hotel was ok but I would not use the term "A Boutique Hotel" to describe it.”

Good location. OK price. The hotel was not fancy but was clean. The hotel staff was helpful but average. The taxi driver did not have any problems finding the hotel. The hotel is a very short walk to the Taj. So short that you actually have to walk in the direction away from the Taj to get to the visitors center to get your ticket (also an extremely short walk.)

“Clean, Comfortable and Superb Service!!”

Our stay at the Bhommi residency was memorable. Not only beacause the rooms were very clean and comfortable, but also because the staff was very hospitable and friendly. Eveyone went off their way to make our stay pleasant and service our needs. Special thanks to Prashant, the travel manager. Prashant was very helpful, from even rpior to our arrival to the hotel. he helpd us get train tickets from Delhi, personally picked us up to the station, walked us to a restaurant for dinner, and helped us coordinate an itinerary that made sense for our very limited time in Agra. He also arranged a driver to take us to our next stop, Jaipur, whom we felt very safe and comfortable. Whoever needs travel assistance, I would highly recommend to talk to Prashant. In general, we had a very good experience during our stay at the Bhoomi residency and would definately recommend this place.

Must see
The Taj Mahal....AMAZING!!

“Great hotel, especially for the price”

They have a place for drivers to stay overnight for free which was really good for me because I was coming from Delhi. The place is really close to the Eastern Gate and very convenient. You can walk to the tourist center from which you buy tickets and then a shuttle takes you to the Taj. The hotel was very clean and the service was excellent. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Agra.

“Better and cheaper places to stay in Agra”

Hotel personnel try to overcharge you for everything such as food, transportation, ets. There are definetely better places to stay in Agra. Recommend checking the Rough Guide to Rajastan for hotel options. Location is very convenient, only 5 min from the Taj, this is the only hotel plus.
