We had a very relaxing holiday staying at this hotel. We had an excellent standard room (it was more like an apartment with a double bedroom, 2 bathrooms, lounge area & large balcony). On arrival we were escorted to and given a quick tour of our room by the manager. The welcome pack included sparkling wine and pastries along with a large bottle of water. Also on arrival, the hotel asked if there was any special occasion during our stay - as it was our wedding anniversary, they arranged to provide a cake (it was a delicious chocolate cake) after our restaurant dinner!
All the hotel staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. There was a huge variety available at the buffet breakfast, and table service was provided for ordering omelettes, pancakes, toast, tea/coffee. During our stay we ate at 2 of the hotel's a la carte restaurants, the food and ambience was superb, as was the service. The hotel's restaurants were a bit pricey (although the food is of a very high standard) but there were lots of reasonably priced tavernas nearby.
The hotel has landscaped gardens which were a delight to walk through on the way to breakfast/pool/beach. There were lots of options for sunbathing: 2 pools, a small beach and extensive terraced areas next to the beach, so we never had a problem getting suitable sunloungers. The hotel provides fresh towels every day for sunbathing and waiter service all day.
This hotel thoroughly deserves its 5 star rating. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location with direct access to a beach (beaches in Crete are public, so you have to pay for equipment).
Hard working and polite staff (especially reception and housekeeping teams).
The hotel has an amazing terrace overlooking the sea, where we enjoyed breakfast, dinner and our evening drinks.
The room was a bit rustic but spacious, well equipped and most importantly always immaculate!the storage space was a bit limited, but it was just two of us so it was fine. the evening buffet was really good quality and the menu various - lots of local products to enjoy, especially if you love patisserie.
This hotel has really amazing views over the bay from every room and from the bar/restaurant areas. The hotel itself isn't the best we've ever stayed in, but with a view like that who cares? Quite dated and a very small bar etc., but the reason we went was for the view so we weren't disappointed!

"Nice hotel with good facilities and close to sea ."
We were initially allocated two rooms that quite appalling. One had a door to the outside grounds which would not close. As the travelling arrangements meant that we arrived after midnight the staff couldn't switch us all but they did relocate one of us so at least we were in secure rooms. The following day we were all relocated to satisfactory rooms. The transfer from hotel to air port took over 3 hours to cover a journey that could have been done in less than an hour.

We chose a week at the Elounda Beach to celebrate our wedding anniversary and from the moment we arrived it was like a second honeymoon.
As soon as we came through the front gate the elegance and peace of the resort struck us.
The staff at reception were appropriately attentive and made us feel very welcome.
Our suite was beautifully laid out with a stunning sea view - if the rest of the hotel hadn't been so stunning we would have loved to have spent even more time there.
Lounging under the olive trees by the white sandy beach was the perfect way to relax during the day with the occasional swim in the crystal clear waters to cool down.
All of the restaurants were excellent covering a range of cuisines and with superb wine lists (the local Cretan wines were a revelation). Service was impeccable. Half board is thoroughly recommended as you will not want to venture far from the resort. A nice touch was the decorated chocolate gateau we were presented with at dinner on our anniversary.
We thoroughly recommend the resort and look forward to returning in the future.

Excellent week in this Hotel, nice location not so remote but not too close to the hustle and bustle of A.Nikolaos.
Food is good with a variety, it has a nice private beach and the room is very clean and comfortable.
A quality hotel with wonderful staff who are friendly and very accommodating. The food was superb throughout my stay and the a la carte reataurant a must. The one reservation I have is about the shaley beach area which could do witha quantity of good sand being deposited. This would not stop me returning tomorrow if I could.Other supposedly 5 star hotels in the area are left trailing in the Minos Palace wake.
