“great hotel great stay, could improve on food”

Great : - staff, friendly , helpfull - room - pool - services - The concierge is excelent and knows everything about the town ... Could be better: - for the price of the food the quality and diversity could be a lot better. We did eat 3 times in the restaurants in the sofitel and ending up going out every night for diner since you can find better food for half the price in Agadir and you do not need to go to the scala just the marina for example "Le Nil Bleu". The breakfeast in sofitel is really good. - there is a hotel being build next to the sofitel but it did not bother us at all since we were on the oposite end of the hotel.

“A great hotel, loved our stay”

This hotel was brilliant. The staff are very friendly and helpful without being pushy, striking the perfect balance. The staff members always greeted you with a smile and were available to help, answer questions or organise anything you desired. Great service. The hotel facilities are incredible, with an endless array of sunbeds stretching from an enourmous pool all the way down to the beach, which the hotel directly fronts. The restaurants are very good quality, open late and with a great selection of food from around the world. I never expected to get great sushi in Morocco. They are expensive, but it is a five star hotel. The classical guitarists played to the guests eating lunch outside around the pool, and in the lounge bar in the evenings and were brilliant, very talented, playing relaxing tunes perfectly suited to the environment. There is an night-club that is decked out better than most of the new clubs in London, a cigar lounge, a health spa, you can organise jet skiing, four-wheel driving, golf days ... almost anything you want. We didn't leave the resort. After the crowds and noise of Marakesh this was the perfect place to relax for a few days.

“Very good hotel, but work going on on the beach.”

Very good and recent hotel. Rooms are top, with Sofitel beds (i.e. very comfy). Service is mostly good, though it is annoying to get suggested cash payment for food services. Very good trendy "So" restaurant, providing a good break from Moroccan cuisine, buffet restaurant expensive if not in your package. Only negatives are: pool is not heated (whilst waves are strong enough to keep you at the pool) and there are works to build a promenade between the hotels and the beach, so be on the beach is currently not an option. And having Non-smoking floors would be a plus, even if they changed our room after a day.

“Hotel's common places very well designed and comfortable (pool, beach, lobby)”

Hotel's common places very comfortable. I booked a standar room but this wasn't a 5 star hotel (TV choice very limited, small and no view). Food is extreemly expensive (compared to Marrocan standards) and nothing surprisingly. Internet access too expensive (30 euros per day).

“Great Outside area & pool”

The pol area & beach is superb & so was the food in the restaurant's when we ate there. Service was not quite up to a 5* standard & the rooms were pretty average for a 5* - nothing on the riad's we had stayed in in Marackech!!

“Wonderful setting and facilities - but not quite right”

Hotel is positioned right on far end of beach - except for small promenade. There are lots sunbeds hammocks on beach and has lovely breeze a very pleasant place to sit, this is Hotel's greatest asset. We did not have children - but seemed very good with toddlers. Breakfast in hotel was standard self service - coffee and tea not drinkable and breakfast expensive if not included. Dinner was not good, wine twice price than in town. Both are served in round restuarant which has the atmosphere of French Motorway service; there are a few tables in main courtyard which is much more pleasant. Drinks and wine are very expensive. Beach snack bar serves good sandwiches and Berber chips - although it takes 12 waiters to serve about 20 customers and it takes at 1/2 or 3/4 hour to arrive. Too many staff in off season keener to talk to each other than serve customers. There are one or two very good waiters - but not always possible sit in their area. Great place to sit on beach and get sun tan few days - would need alot of books for 2 week stay.
