The view from the pool is stunning. The staff was a little pushy at first in terms of directing us to partner restaurants for dinner, but overall they were very helpful and respectful. The pool although beautiful is a little damaged and not always completely clean. Our room was a little smelly when we got in, but still a nice and clean room with amazing see view. Overall it’s probably the best option in Lipari but the hotel which is remote could do more to facilitate transit between the hotel and city centre

This hotel was good, but not great. The best part of the property is the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the port with a glorious view. Our Junior Suite Terrace Garden room while comfortable, lacked charm. Also the layout of the property is somewhat disjointed so this room was a walk up a short hill above the main building and felt a bit isolated. Service was disappointing - this was the only hotel during our stay in the Aeolian islands that did not contact us before arrival to help arrange transportation. When I called them and also asked for help making a reservation at a local restaurant Ben working at the desk told me to call myself. The woman working the desk in the morning however was very friendly. Finally breakfast was nothing special - I ordered an Americano coffee and instead they brought me a coffee made with instant dehydrated crystals. All in all, just an ok stay. Not bad, not great.

Beautiful hotel on a beautiful island.
The rooms are so beautiful and spacious. We had a lovely balcony area that we took advantage of each day. The walk up to the pool is worth the hike as there are some beautiful views from the top. Sadly the water bubbles in the pool seating area didnt work but it's still very refreshing to lean on the pool edge drink in hand. The staff were all very helpful with a good grasp of English and arranging trips, getting recommendations and booking transport was made very easily. The location may seem out of the way but providing your not wheeling luggage it's 10-15 minute walk down into down. Slightly more back up hill!

Beautiful but barking dogs
Lovely place a bit out of town but shuttle service to certain restaurants. Great swimming pool. Staff courteous and helpful. Loud barking dogs at night that was disruptive. Too bad because it is a quiet mellow hotel otherwise.

Lipari family vacation

Junior suite poolside with a Seaview was great. Clean, comfortable and relaxing. 15 minute walk to the pedestrian street or €10 one way via taxi. Service was awesome and the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful.

Nice room and view but a few issues
Our room was nice - spacious, comfortable and had a very large terrace. The pool area was also lovely with great views over Lipari town. I wouldn't recommend the hotel though due to a few issues. On two days we couldn't use the pool after 2pm as there were weddings there. This included one which had music and fireworks until 1am. They offered use of another pool but it was a distance away. In addition the hydro massage features of the pool weren't working (we asked for it to be turned on but it never happened). Staff weren't generally very helpful or friendly. We had to wait around to check in and little information was provided. We had to ask where the pool was as it wasn't obvious (further up the hill). The location is awkward. It offers great views but is annoying day to day. It's a 20 min walk into Lipari for any shops or restaurants. That is not fun in hot weather particularly with the very steep hill leading to the hotel. There is no food on site (despite the description saying there is a cafe). There is no shopping shuttle - it is only for transfers to/from the port on arrival/departure. The port transfer was free and welcome but we did have to wait half an hour in the midday sun for them to pick us up on arrival. Overall it just didn't feel like a four star experience and I feel the description on Expedia needs to be clarified as some things are wrong.

Everything about Vill Enrica very good and would definitely stay there again . Staff very helpful and friendly, rooms very pleasant, lovely quiet location overseeing town and sea. 15 min easy walk to town centre or shuttle bus to port ! Fabulous pool area above complex, worth the walk uphill ! Breakfast yummy !

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at the hotel villa enrica! The views from the hotel were gorgeous, the staff was extremely accommodating and the free shuttle service was very helpful. My only complaint was that we were not able to lay by the gorgeous infinity pool due to a wedding that was taking place. Overall, we had a great stay and we would definitely recommend staying here. We hope to come again!

Great location w/ lovely pool are & helpful staff
We stayed here for a week in July. The location of the hotel is great - it is up the hill so you are overlooking the port - this does mean a walk into the main bit of town but it is just 10 minutes and very easy to do. The staff were great - always available to help with queries or making bookings (boat trips, transfers etc). I would definitely recommend for families or couples who are looking for a relaxing holiday with guaranteed sunshine with just enough activities nearby (boat trips to the other islands or just wandering around the town of Lipari) to keep you busy when it is too hot to be by the pool.

Friendly hotel with fantastic pool and great views
Lovely hotel slightly out of Lipari town but only ten minutes walk into the Port and bustling Main Street with lots of restaurants and shops. Friendly family-run hotel with great rooms, lovely views, balconies, and beautiful infinity spa pool which was spectacular, good breakfasts with lots of variety and nice staff,especially Cristina. You can get hotel shuttle bus to its sister hotel or enjoy the ten minute stroll down into town and treat yourself to a ten euro taxi back uphill. Definitely recommend it for a family holiday. Lipari is also great - esp for trip to Stromboli and other islands.

Wonderful staff, room very clean, if a little basic. The big drawback with this hotel is the hills, the walk from the town is long but for most part enjoyable till it starts to rise and then its very dark with no towpath, and you can feel vulnerable because of the drivers. The access to the pool is once again a hill, which is very steep and would prove difficult for many both young, old and disabled, this is a real shame as the view is breath taking, also the actual entrance to the hotel is very steep. It would be good if they could find some way around this as I'm sure many like myself would go back , because it really is a lovely place and the staff are the best.

A beautiful place!
The stunning view is well worth the steep walk up the hill to the hotel. The staff could not be more helpful and even provided us with a free glass of prosecco on the terrace for my boyfriends birthday! I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family!

Our stay was amazing, we actually managed to extend our stay: -a stunning view over Lipari from an amazing swimming pool -small hotel with few rooms, very quiet -rooms with individual terraces, size of the rooms is great -very clean -staff is super friendly and very flexible -only improvement to do is breakfast, a bit poor -no restaurant but possibility to order good and get it delivered

Much more than we expected
We had booked this hotel to serve as our base when touring the islands. It is not a big place and is family run. The hotel provided a shuttle service from the port in the form of a minibus which took us to the hotel up a very steep hill. This meant that it had amazing panoramic views of the ocean, harbour and town. We were astonished with how large, comfortable and well equipped our room was. It could have easily slept 4 people and had a great bathroom and handy kitchenette. We loved the boutique styling and quietness of the rooms. Adjoining the two bedrooms, was a large terrace that had a dining table and chairs, lounger and drying rack with enough space for a small party. It had a relaxing Mediterranean feel that made this part of the holiday feel special and luxurious. The hotel also has an infinity pool although this was hard to find and you had to walk up a steep hill to get to it. We were disappointed that the pool closed very early though at 7:30pm so we couldn’t make the most of it. Wifi was available although we couldn’t get signal in our room. Breakfast was good with and I enjoyed their delicious fresh pastries and fruit. The hotel is in walking distance to the town but it does take a short while and is a steep walk downhill. I therefore do not recommend the walk to those with difficulty walking and certainly wouldn’t recommend the walk back climbing up the steep hill and take a taxi instead. I would certainly recommend the place.

Great stay. We called the hotel from the ferry and they were waiting to pick us up. Lovely room with balcony and outdoor bench for cooking. The pool is amazing. Good breakfast too.

Excellent choice
Villa enrica was an excellent choice for our stay in Lipari. The hotel provided us with pick up from the wharf and dropped us back there at the end of our stay. We didn"t mind the 15 minute walk into the town centre or the steep walk up the hotel driveway. The up side to this was the magnificent views of the coast and town.Breakfasts were very good, the pool superb and the staff were all excellent.

As we arrive, we only stayed 2 nights, they helped with all of over reservations. They suggested two restaurants and made both of the reservations, supplied transportation. We wanted to rent a private boat for the day to explore the islands, and they did all the leg work to make it happen, Thanks for a wonderful stay

Hotel far from town but has nice view over it.
We booked a standard room with shower and garden view. We got a suite type of room with 4 beds and a terrace. The view is over a valley where the barking of numerous dogs keeps you awake. In the room was a kitchenette. It was dirty in particular the fridge. The shower had 60x60 cm dimensions which for fat guests would be difficult to entre. The walk to town takes about 20 minutes. Back from town is uphill and takes a little more time. A taxi cost 10€. The swimming pool is not near the hotel but about 120m steep uphill. However it is very nice and worth to go there. The breakfast is good. The personnel fantastic in particular Maria Vitale. The scuba diving on Lipary and Vulcano is excellent, great visability and sea life. We used Gorgonia diving, they are good. The Chimera restaurant in the Mea hotel is good.

We loved Villa Enrica with it's clean, cool room, spacious balcony, helpful staff and glorious views. Our 11 days in august/september were truly restorative. The pool is as pretty as everyone says- wonderful view over Lipari harbour and no jostling for sun beds- there are plenty- and there was a very civilised and peaceful vibe. We needed some help and advice ahead of time and the reception staff did a great job sorting out some transfer problems for us. Take comfy shoes if you are planning to explore Lipari town on foot as it is a good 20 minute walk up the hill back to the hotel, but the views and tranquility afforded by the location more than make up for the effort (and there are plenty of taxis but at 12-15 euros the walk was good for the budget as well as the tummy). For those of us who like a mixture of idleness and exploration, Villa Enrica is the ideal base and we would return in a heartbeat.

An absolute gem
This is one of those rare, delightful small hotels that combines a stunning location with exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Some of our fellow guests were enjoying their fourth holiday there and it was easy to understand why. The hotel, 30 ish rooms, is built into a steep hillside on the edge of Lipari and the swimming pool - which is lovely in itself - has a stunning view over the bay towards the next island, Vulcano. The rooms are all individually designed and surrounded by Mediterranean gardens planted with jasmine, bougainvillea, honeysuckle, hisbiscus and plumbago. Everything is thoughtfully designed. The breakfast terrace also enjoys the view and the breakfasts were delicious and home-baked - you wake up to birdsong and the smell of fresh croissants.. The concierges could not have been more helpful and delightful - if there was a Concierge of the Year award, the judges would have to split it between them. Things to consider - not exactly downsides but worth knowing - are that the lane up to the pool is quite steep, and the location means you have either a 10-15 minute walk into town, hiring a scooter, taking a taxi for 10Euro or the challenge of flagging down the bus. But transfers to and from the ferry and the restaurant at the sister Hotel Mea, are free. We staying in late June, when the weather was perfect although a few boat trips were cancelled because of high winds. The hotel was completely full, and we were glad we had booked well in advance.

Honeymoon paradise
Alex and I were blown away by Villa Enrica. Our room was beautiful, with wrought iron and cream decor, powerful shower and double doors that blocked the sun for a restful quiet sleep or opened fully to our own terrace with panoramic, blissful views of the coastal town. Stunning infinity pool too. It was in easy reach of the bustling town but removed enough to feel peaceful. The staff service was the most friendly and welcoming we've come across. We were greeted with delighted smiles and complimentary prosecco and nuts when we mentioned it was our honeymoon - and this after the complimentary pick up from the town. The only improvement could be a consistently warm shower as it switched from warm to tepid and back during each shower but this wasn't much of an issue at all. This stay has made us certain that we'll return as soon as possible: perhaps a first anniversary!

Lovely romantic couples break!
My boyfriend and I just returned from an idyllic week at Villa Enrica - this place is fantastic. I booked it based on other Expedia reviews I had read, and it lived up to that and then some. The setting is tranquil and beautiful, the pool area can only be described as an oasis and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. They were so helpful from the moment we made the booking. The rooms are extremely tasteful, comfortable and the bathrooms have the unexpected but very welcome addition of a jacuzzi bath - lovely after a hard days sunbathing! Lipari is a very charming and sleepy island, great food (lots of fish) friendly people and great weather. Would recommend going slightly out of season (we went first week in June which was perfect, imagine that May and September are also lovely) as I could picture it getting very busy in peak summer months.
