“Great experience all around”
Very nice experience. We were given the choice of two rooms, both were spacious - one with a kitchen or one with a bigger bed. We were only there for the weekend so we picked the bigger bed. The hotel is on a quiet street just 2 blocks from the main street with all the shops and restaurants. The lady at the front desk was very nice and answered all our questions. Breakfast was a typical European one. Would stay here again.
“Just what we were looking for!”
The Portinenti Hotel was exactly what we were looking for! This is a small hotel on the south edge of town just few feet from a lovely little pebbly swimming beach. We walked down with our snorkeling gear and had a good time exploring (even saw an octopus!). The rooms were clean and quite spacious by European standards. We originally thought all rooms had kitchenettes, but the room we were shown initially simply had a small fridge. They were more than happy to switch us to another room. The beds were firm, but not as hard as many European hotels. The porch was a bonus: spacious with seating, table and drying rack. The harbor was a decent walk away, but we were offered a ride both on arrival and departure. The staff was especially helpful and friendly and even arranged for us to have a half day out on a boat with guide who showed us wonderful scenery and great snorkeling spots. In addition, we enjoyed a wonderful hike, fabulous food, and a warm welcome from all the locals. Definitely a place you don't want to miss!

Quand je lis les commentaires et que je vois les photos sur internet je ne pense pas avoir été dans le même hotel. Nous avions une chambre pour 5, 3 lits simples au rez-de-chaussée et un lit double en mezzanine où nous avons eu très chaud malgré la clim. La salle de bain est très simple et vieillotte, la douche petite et une mauvaise odeur de renfermé. Après 6 nuits dans des vrais 5 et 4 étoiles, la comparaison a été brutale, le confort est à peine digne d'un 2 étoiles français. La situation n'est pas mauvaise, 10/15 mn du port, 2 mn d'un petite plage qui permet de se baigner mais qui n'est pas très propre et pleine d'enfants siciliens qui crient (et pourtant j'ai 3 enfants). Le petit déjeuner est très correct et le personnel sympathique, ce qui a fait passer le séjour.

“Très bon hôtel au calme”
Très bon accueil, joli hôtel, très propre et très agréable, à côté de l'unique plage de Lipari. Sa situation un peu excentrée pourrait constituer le seul point négatif de notre appréciation. (Un service de navette gratuite est néanmoins proposé en journée)
