“not impressed”
Dissapointed the restaurent was more like a cafe sevice not that good, food very ordinary. The room was serviced daily only we noticed that the room had not had a vacume over it in the 7 nights we had stayed. We did get clean towels daily. The only plus to this hotel is that it is situated in the town centre easy access to shopping and transport.
“mokaa7”
This hotel is relatively compact. However the location is very convinent, I could go to Hindly street for three minutes by walk. My room's window is small, but otherwise it was good .
“honeymoon”
very enjoyable stay
“Adelaides Advantages”
We were very impressed with the quality of the hotel, the location was superb very close to shop, trams, eating places etc. Hotel staff were all very considerate and helpful.
“Grand Chancellor Junior - Adelaide”
Decent enough but environmental control in room is under desk control. Imagine waking at 1:00 am to find that the room is roasting and having to sort through the hotel brochure to find out how to get the air on (call the desk and have them do it). Too much hassle. Renovated older building with accompanying quirks. Would not stay there again but prefer their bigger brother on Hindley.
“Super Central”
Only 20 metres from King William St Has a nice cafe/restaurant Quiet for such a city centre hotel
“great central location”
Great location for central Adelaide, staff very helpful, would go back there again, value for money
“Excellent”
Good value right in the centre of the CBD. Excellent for the business traveller.
“affordable and comfortable”
We spent one night at the Grand Chancellor as a spur of the moment getaway, choosing the hotel based on it's cbd location and affordability. Upon arrival we were met with friendly and efficient service and were also pleasantly surprised to be upgraded from a king room to a suite. The room was much larger than expected with a lounge area including a fold out couch a spacious bathroom with bath and a large bedroom. The hotel was very peaceful without any street noise and was within walking distance to any attractions. Due to the short nature of our stay we didn't use the pool or spa. Would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
“Location is fantastic but the room is so cold during winter season!”
Don't ever get room 602! It's so cold and the heater doesn't work at work. The layout is not easy and the television does not include any digital channels despite they have movie channels and sky news. Anything else is good.
