Adequate but not up to expectations

Room was OK Breakfast was mediocre and not enough space to serve all who wanted breakfast. My group had to eat on the road.

Pros: That it was clean, well-lighted, and that it had a jetted tub for a reasonable rate.
Cons: The breakfast is sadly in need of improvement--for health sake as well as an amenity.
Location: Adairsville is a small town with a Hardees, McDonalds, Burger King, and Cracker Barrel at the exit where this hotel is. It is close to Rome, Ga.
I booked a room with a jetted tub through expedia; the room was wonderful and the jetted tub a real treat. The price was reasonable and the room was comfortable and very clean. However, the breakfast was a big disappointment--the orange juice was soured as the scrambled eggs were spoiled--even to the point of smelling rotten. The coffee was okay but even the waffle mix had a soured taste to it. I think all of the dispensers need to be scoured really well to prevent the turning of the food. The dining area was clean and nicely decorated. This hotel is a quiet, clean place to stay on a trip but don't count on the breakfast.

It was just ok. The bathroom needed an update. Good for a very brief stay.

Just really terrible

Pros: Channel selection was impressive considering the other accomodations
Cons: Most everything is in need of modernization. The desk employee was rude and left us with a bad taste in our mouths on leaving.
Location: Very little to do nearby, small town. We were there for a wedding.
When arriving to the hotel and checking in we were given a different room than agreed to on expedia, and when we asked why the solitary employee of the hotel became irrate with me and said that "that site is no gaurantee I give rooms to paying customers [sic]." When I told him I was in fact a paying customer, he told me I was too late. We upgraded our room to one that was more expensive and included an unwatned jacuzzi tub, I feel neither one way or the other about the tub. The employee asked us to pay the difference for this room in cash, something when I said I was unwilling to do, the employee again became irritated with me. I paid with check, so there was record. Our room (one of four of the most expensive rooms in the hotel) did not include a refrigerator that every other room did. Again when we requested one we were met with first perplexion as if the question was ludicrous, and again, with irritation that resulted in nothing being done about it. Further inspection of the room showed a mysterious pink gel sprayed permanantly onto one wall above the jacuzzi tub, and cereal bits and trash behind the bedside tables. When I expressed concern for these at the front desk to the same solitary employee, his reponse was laughter followed by "Don't worry about it," an unsatisfactory answer for me. This hotel's only saving grace was that our time there was limited.

Recently renovated? Wow...

Posted 27-Apr-2014
The overview of this hotel states that a "total renovation" of this property was completed in December 2013. It must have been in shambles before, because there is still MUCH room for improvement. This is supposedly a smoke-free property. There are little "no smoking" signs on the door to every room, but the hallway still smelled of cigarette smoke. I'd think carpets would be replaced in a "total renovation" so that smell would be gone. I booked a room with two queens and a sofa bed. There were no sheets or pillows for the sofa bed, and we had to go to the front desk and wait for the manager to find some. There were no comforters on the beds- just a top sheet, a thin blanket, and another top sheet. There was a decorative quilted strip on each that looked like a table runner. Cute, but not for comfort. There were two TV's, but they were controlled by the same remote and both had to stay on the same channel. The bathroom was tiny, cramped, and gross. It smelled like urine. The tub & toilet were just inches apart. The soap and shampoo were the cheapest imaginable. The breakfast was just ok. They had a few different cereals, mini donuts, scrambled eggs, and a waffle maker (which several other guests were in line to use, so we had to wait quite a while for our turn). Some fresh fruit would have been nice, but I didn't see any. Based on its description, I was hoping this hotel would be comparable to a Holiday Inn Express or Comfort Inn. Not even close.

It was Ok.

The outside of the hotel needs to be remodeled. Carpet looks old and the access to the parking lot is isolated to the ends of the building. Wifi was horrible. The only thing I liked about the rooms is that they were spacious and clean looking. The staff was very helpful. Probably will never stay there again. Only in a pinch.
