“Nice hotel”

The room was clean and comfortable; the only problem that we had was a small water leak from the ventilator over the toilet. It does not have beach access, but it gives you access to the Grand Mayan Hotel beach which forms part of the same complex (there are rides every 30 minutes). The location is near the airport, but far away from the touristic zone and from the other hotels (about a 20-25 minutes drive). The pool was nice and clean, with a nice pool bar. The restaurant was not bad, but neither really good... Pretty standard. I would definetly go back and recommend it.

“Great place for a peaceful vacation”

This is a great hotel for a peaceful and restful vacation. I chose to go during the week, Monday - Thursday so the hotel was less crowded. Would definitely come back here again in the future. Good service! Clean room!

“Nice experience!!”

Nice hotel, nice to bring the kids along. Different pools, for kinds, for grown ups. The beach great, not many people selling things.

Traveller's tip
The best part is having a kitchenet y being able to cook or bring your food, like cereal or sandwiches for dinner or breakfast. Specially with kids.

“It was good!”

We stayed at the Mayan Palace for first time. The hotel room was great, clean and beautiful. The service was a little slow, and some employes were worried about strange things: who signed the restaurant bill from the room?, or ...at 10:30 pm a lady from the hotel came and knocked at the door to see if "the room was occupied!". The concergie employes were excelent.

“Das Mayan Palace entspicht seinem Namen. Großßzügig, modern und mit hohem Konfort und Freizeitangeb.”

Sehr angenehm überrascht worden! Wunderschönes Hotel mit architektonische Highlights der Mayawelt und viel Vegetation und Tierwelt in den Lagunen! Großes Zimmer mit separatem Wohnesszimmerberich inkl. Kochnische,Geschirr, Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschiene, Mikrowelle und 2 Schalfsofas!! Bis zu 6 Personen können bequerm schlafen. Münzenwaschautomaten und Trockner vorhanden (ca. €9 pro Waschgang) Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Nahrungsmittel, Souvenirs usw.) in der Nähe. Da das Hotel neu gebaut ist (6 Mo.) entspricht die Kategorie eher 5*+. Mehrer Pools vorhanden inkl. Kindererlebniss- und Whirlpools. Service sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unterhaltungsprogramm, Lobbybar mit Live- Tanzmusik, Strandhandtücher und Liegen inkl. Sandstrand mit Massage-, Reit- und Wellensurfangebote. (gegen Gebühr) Traumhafte Sonnenuntergänge und Wandermöglichkeiten Insgesammt ein wunderschönes Hotel mit sehr gutem, freundlichem Service und viel Natur und Landschaft. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Area recommendations
Das Hotel bietet so viel Abwechslung in Pools, Erlebnissfluss, Golf, Tennis, Strandaktivitäten wie Reiten, Fußball, Volleyball, und auch ruhige Palmendächer und Schattenplätze dass alle auf ihre Kosten kommen ohne ausfahren zu müssen.

März- April, oder November Dezember. Da noch Nebensaison die Temperaturen sind zwischen 20° Nachts und 32° Tagsüber. (Ostern und Weihnachtsferien ausgenommen)

Sonnenschutzmittel mit hohem Faktor. Hut oder Cappies. Strandbekleidung wie Shorts, T-shirts und Strandkleider da die Wege zu den Pools über parkänhliche Gehwege verlaufen. Tennisschuhe falls man joggen möchte. Badelatschen da der Weg zum Meer evtl sehr heiß werden kann.
Must see
Das ganze Hotel ist sehenswert da viele Mayaelemente in der Architektur einfließen. Landschaftlich kann man u.a. große Iguanas entdecken.
