“my torres gemelas”

this hotel is ocean front and right on the main road...step out the front door of hotel and there is everything...need to go to walmart?? jump on the city bus or grab a taxi..bus is 40 cents ..taxis $3-$5.....the htel room has stove, fridge dining table w/ chairs....eat out or cook inside....great pool..has nude area for adults....walk down steps to the beach and ocean...everything is there.....

Area recommendations
stay in area if you like..very safe to walk to restuarants, discos, casinos,, if you like more "real mexican" life styles, jump on the bus to the zocolo..there you will see families w/ children, the church, lots of resturants...everyday mexican life...if you go to the zocolo, climb the street leading up to the cliff divers...good exercise after dinner...great show.....
Getting around
jump on the bus with the mexican people..you will save lots of money.....there are more buses than people...or grab a volkswagon taxi..best prices...ask the price before you get in the taxi.....
What to pack
hot and humid....shorts, flops and t-shirts..light dress clothes if going for a nice dinner...take 3 oz.. on plane of suntan lotaion, sweet n low, book to read, english/spanish dictionary...people love it if you try to speak thier language, tote bag for the beach, beach towel, camera,
Shopping
open shopping on the streets and the beach is the best...ask the price ,cut in half and work out a price....why should they sell it to you for $4.00 if you are willing to pay $10....not you price, move on...
Outdoors or beach
i found the best beach to be condesa below the fiesta americana...tables and umbrellas for rent , food and drink service brought to you....buy from the vendors selling on the beach, food, sunglasses, gifts for friends back home...its all there...wheel and deal on prices....if you like the price, buy it..

“Not Impressed”

The hotel is decent and is good for a cheap vacation. However they are not very organized and the rooms are very outdated with many issues. Upon arrival at the hotel the valet took our keys and moved the car forward into a tight spot where it scratched repeatedly by passing cars, which we had to pay Hertz for the damage. The valet was unwilling to speak to us and told us it was out problem. The TV had no remote and all the buttons for changing channel or volume was broken. The room was old and in disrepair. However the view was incredible and the cleaning staff was exceptional. I would not stay at this hotel again,

Area recommendations
The Gold Coast in Acapulco is fairly old and the hotels are not kept up very well. The Diamonte area caters more to Americans and has the amenities to make your stay more comfortable but not a great nightlife.
Getting around
Be careful when driving, the police will stop you if they think you are American and will extort money from you using scare tactics (they stoped us three times for bogus reasons and got around $50 per stop). I suggest not driving if you can.

“Very bad service”

Somebody took my money from my wallet that I left hidden inside my suitcase, and the manager didn’t believe me and didn’t treat me as the customer, was very upsetting

“Bad Experience!”

When I got to my room, I noticed the door frame was cracked from possibly being kicked in. They also have a metal gate door to your room door. The metal door frame sticks and good luck in a child being able to push their way out in case of any emergency. Another bad sign people are not safe. I got into my room and found there was no remote for my TV. The TV didn't work and my bathroom toilet was leaking. The A/C was old and noisy. I called the front desk and they told me they would send some one to fix the TV. The so called kitchenette is very old and the fridge stinks. Do not use this Hotel/Condo! It's the worst service and rooms ever. The so called security is a bunch of teenagers with polo shirts that have Security on the back shoulders printed. This is a low class horrible place to stay. If you want to stay in business, update your rooms, train your staff to be polite and think the customer is the King. Your hotel has a lot to learn and way behind the times. Good luck on ever getting me or my many friends to ever come near your hotel!

“Ok but needs a little remodeling”

I was there at the end of July, it was very crowded since it was pay day for Mexicans; the hotel needs a little pick me up, painting, cleaning, etc but the room was fine; the elevators break down and you wait for ever.

Traveller's tip
It's good and not expensive, good location

“älteres Hotel mit tollem Preis - Leistungs - Verhältnis”

Das Hotel ist bereits älter, aber sehr sauber. Es hat einen hervorragenden Service und sehr leckeres, mexikanisches Essen.
