“Good hotel with perfect facilities and surrounding area.”

Good hotel with perfect facilities and surrounding area. Rooms are big, light and clean, but they make you a little disappointed as their renovation was worthier than in entire hotel. in general we really like the hotel and our vacation there.

“Great Location....but”

This is more of a 3 star hotel versus 4. In order to use of a small refrigerator in the room, you have to buy about $8 worth of drinks for $20. Wi-Fi was operational about a third of the time during my 10 day stay. Staff was very nice. Best reason for staying here is the location and the swimming pools. No complaints about room service.....would stay here again.

“Acapulco Vacation--May 2011”

Overall this hotel was a nice place to stay. We enjoyed the friendly staff, expecially one of the managers Jose at the front desk and Marcos at the front bar. Mostly of the staff spoke broken English, which was a bit tough at times. They had a kid pool, but 2 other pools that were for adults. We stayed in room 1015 and it was extremely confortable with a flat screen tv, robes and a lot of space. It was also the floor that had a continental breakfest. The view from the room was awesome. The hotel was on the main strip, but there was no noise that could be heard in our room. The location of the hotel allowed us to walk to night clubs, restaurants, the mall and we even took a trolley tour we found 3 blocks up the road--Pueblo was a great guide. Despite what we heard on the news, Acapulco was very safe. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Area recommendations
We took the Trolley to see the divers. It was only a 2-3 blocks from the hotel. The mall was across the street and the night clubs was 2-3 blocks from the hotel towards the airport.

“Great bargain for price and location but needs americana improvements”

The hotel is great according to its price and location as it is right in the heart of the tourist district with an Amercan style mall that has an applebees and an American cinema in front of the hotel. Also next to the hotel are a gazillion small mexican restaurant that serve really good authentic mexican food. Another plus is that all the rooms are faced towards the ocean also a big plus. THe beach is pretty but hard to swim as the water are choppy even on calm days as you get wave after wave even swimming out a 100 yards. The hotel food is overpriced at around $18 a dish after ordering a dish with one drink and you can go across the street to a small taqueria for 10X the amnt and only $4. The biggest issue at the hotel that hotel that I and my wife had was the gym. I run 6 miles 4X weekly and my wife does about the same and the gym is a room with no windows but an A/C is set up in there but is perpetually tirned off. At the beginning of the workout it was 92F but when 2 people start running the temp goes up to 98F I have asked them 8 times during the week to turn the AC on in there bc I was soaking wet and they told me that they just wont do it bc its not their way. Also on a Friday they had a party outside and the music was so loud they made the walls vibrate and went to 3am and told us that is how it is, but it was only 1 out of 8 nights, thank god.

Area recommendations
I would recommend staying in the diamond zone if you are looking for americana style treatment with quietness. If you are looking for more mexican authentism then the zona dorada is your best bet as all the restaurants are here but it comes at a sacrificial price where you have to trade authentism for extra noise. Avoid the nautica zone, the hotels are completely run down and it is closest to the city center anf it clearly looks like the hotels were built in the 50s when Tarzan was filmed there and no improvement were done since.
Nightlife
Just so you know nightlife is only on Fridays and Saturdays and it starts at 1am. If you go before it'll be dead.

“Great location but check-in/out took too long.”

Excellent location with good eateries close by. Staff were courteous but did not speak English well. It was busy and there was always a long queue at reception and had to wait in line for 40 mins. to check in. It was a long time to queue despite their providing iced drinks only to those who were near the front of the line. Air conditioner malfunction was taken care of promptly and quickly by maintenance staff who replaced the thermostat. We were awakened by a 5.4 earthquake at about 6am on April 26. No assistance or directions were available from the staff who may not have been trained for such an incident. Fortunately there was no damage and no injuries.

“NEVER AGAIN, DON"T GO THERE!!”

Staring from check in that was at 4pm (pretty late), they left people in line to check in for over 3 hours. i even have pictures. Altough I asked for an early check in, sicne my 75 years old mom with mobility issues was there with me, they refused to start to check people in before 4 pm. They served water to people in line that was passing out. Once we finally made it to the room, it was dirty, with still trash from the previous guests. the linen in the bed was all stained/ dirty, while there were no towels in the bathroom. We had to wait a long time to have towels and be able to take a shower after being wating for hours to check in. People at the desk for check in were terrible. Only a few spoke english, while the other didn't .My check in process lasted over 30 minutes. They got my luggage at my arrival at the hotel (around 12 pm) and forgot to give me a ticket. so my luggage sat in the hall for hours. I had to keep an eye on it myself. The when I finally was ready to go back to the room, the luggage disappeared and they asked me for the receipt that I didn't have. Basically I had to convince them that those were my suitcases and of course, I had to tip them to have the luggage delivered to my room. They were NOT able to provide any helpful information on what to do in the area, thank God the taxi driver was helpful. Pool was dirty and so were tables and chairs around the pool. the restaurant was expensive and the food was beyond awful. I got stomach sick and so my mom.

“Great Time”

The hotel is nice, but the service really bumps up the hotel. The hotel restaurants are extremely cheap and very tasty. i usually go to a mini mart and buy a little bit of groceries when i travel to save some money, but the pool restaurant was extremly affordable and did not find the need to leave the hotel for food. The waiter are very nice and courtious. I am 22 years of age and found the hotel very adequate for my needs of partying. The hotel is close enough to walk to the clubs but also far enough to not be disturbed. As for the getting around, the hotel cab drivers are very good with the price, as they work for the hotel and charge honestly, but if traveling during the day. Get the yellow striped cabs that run all aong the coast for a about a dollar per person, they are like a bus, so they stop often as long as they have space for more passengers. But really convinient when trying to save some cash. Overall i found my self having a good time in Acapulco. Ohh and if looking for a real party, go to Paladium, its is by far one the best clubs i have been to, not only for the service for the night view of the whole Acapulco shore.

Area recommendations
Palladiun is the best club in Acapulco and has an awesome view. To eat, a little expensive, well the Kokaburro. It's on top of Acapulco adn has a fenonminal view of Acapulco.
Getting around
Use hotel cabs, and during the day the yellow stripped cabs, they run about a dollar per person.

“Great pools and very good location”

The hotel had a continental breakfast every morning on each floor. There was coffee, fruit, ceral, yogurt, and fresh squeezed juices. The location was just about in the middle of the bay and had a great view. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

When to go
January weather in Acapulco is perfect. Not to hot, the humdity is low. We went on a cruise of the bay from 4:30 - 7:00 and even on the bay you did not need a sweater or jacket, it was very nice.
Getting around
Don't be afraid to take the bus. It is safe very easy and very cheap.
