“This hotel should not be advertised on expedia!!!!”

I checked-in and realized there was no way I was staying one night at this hotel. First off, it was advertised as a full service hotel with restaurant and bar. Not true!!! Second, the elevator didn't work properly. Third, mold in the shower and room was very small with no place to hang things and settle in. Bottom line this is no vacation hotel. I'm asking for my money back and will go to court to fight this if I have to.

Area recommendations

Acapulco is very beautiful despite the Aristos "so-called Resort" experience. For nice hotels in a less busier part of Acapulco, I would recommend the Diamante area. If you want to be where all the action is Gold Zone aka "Zona Dorada" is highly recommended and full of entertainment that suites the local culture.

Dining

There are plenty of places to eat in Acapulco. You can find great seafood, Italian, good local cuisine and plenty of family restaurants like Applebees to make you feel at home even.

Nightlife

Night clubs are up and down the Costera. Most of them have a cover with a open bar. Open bars are good in the most places.

Events and shows

Nina's on the Costera by far is the best night club in town with live music, dj, and Vegas like entertainment all for the price of $28 per person with an open bar. Best deal in town and highly recommended on Friday and Saturday, if you are into salsa and local music.
