“Surprised because of Location”
This hotel was not what I thought it would be. I read reviews and understood that it was not by the tourist zone, but I saw that it was mentioned that it was close. The hotel was very far away from the touristy area which would require wasting time getting there everyday. I wish I would have done more research. The hotel was too far away for us since we were going for a short vacation. I would recommend this place to someone who is trying to get away from it all and just relax. The beach at the hotel is definitely not a beach, it's water next to a parking space for boats. There are many pools on site as well as places to eat where it is very affordable to buy food. The rooms are very simple, but ours came with a kitchenette which we did not plan on using. When going here, if you want a view, it will take a hike getting there. Our room was about a ten minute walk from the lobby. Though it is a very big area, as long as you are inside the hotel premises you will be fine, but we were told that it is dangerous outside at night. We went to la Quebrada on the first night which is very close to Alba Suites and it only cost about $3 to get there. We left after this first day only because it was not the environment we were looking for. If I wanted to get away from everything and just be relaxed during vacation, I would consider staying here again.
