We have just returned from a 5 day stay with our 5 year old son. The hotel is gorgeous with spacious rooms and very clean.
The beach club is very nice, the cabanas offering welcome shade from the heat. The beach and sea are also very clean and sea with plenty of space.
The staff in every area of the hotel were outstanding, always a smile and happy to help. They were especially friendly to our son who enjoyed the attention and now thinks everyone he came into contact with is now his friend. His view of about the holiday 'fantastic!'
Outside of enjoying the facilities of the hotel, we enjoyed a bike ride along corniche, a trip to YAS waterworld, afternoon tea in the observation deck bar at Jumeriah towers and numerous trips to fun city in the Mall.

An older hotel so the rooms are a bit dated an a bit smaller than some of the modern ones however they were clean and well maintained. We stayed in an executive room which gave complimentary use of the exec lounge serving limited breakfast, lunch and evening snacks. The restaurants we tried were all excellent. The main draw of this hotel though is the fantastic beach club. You need to leave the hotel and access it via an underpass but it is fantastic..... Lots of space, very well maintained and very clean. 2 pools plus a children's pool with waterslides and a beach (currently being extended). There is also a watersports club. Overall, if you want a beach\pool holiday it is great. If you are not going to be using the beach club then you can probably find a more modern hotel to suit.
First experience of this hotel and we will certainly return in the future.
Walking into the bathroom 38 floors up and discovering a wall of glass that allows you to sit in the bath and look out at the wonderful panorama while you soak, brought gasps of delight and this was in a Deluxe king room, one can only wonder what delights one would discover in a Grand Deluxe Room or the Deluxe Club King, we will certainly find out our next visit.
Not for this hotel a simple sachet of coffee as in many others, no this hotel provides a coffee machine along with tea making facilities in every room, nor can you expect you usual range of bathroom amenities, here there is only the very best including every toiletry that you could need and all this at a price no more expensive than you would expect to pay for a far lesser quality room in any Australian city.
A truly wonderful experience is to be had in any one of the multiple restaurants, with a range of cuisine to suit every taste from the humble burger to a full a la carte seafood delight.

After an initial problem start to our holiday we had a very good stay in the intercontinental in Abu Dhabi. The Resident Manager was a very sincere gentleman who rectified our initial complaints and turned our stay into a very memorable time. The staff in the executive lounge were exceptional, very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were cleaned and tidied to a very good standard by a very polite young man. We would certainly recommend this hotel and stay there again.
I have spent 6 nights at this hotel and it was well worth it! I had a great time - The staff was very courteous, friendly and very helpful! The surroundings in the hotel - wonderful! I can highly recommend this hotel to all who would like a place to stay for a few days for relaxation and for shopping as this hotel is in the City centre of Abu Dhabi and close to all amenities!
