Overall good

Posted 14-Aug-2014
Pros: Mostly everything. Very clean, a little sterile maybe, at the end of the Corniche so well placed for most area of Abu Dhabi.
Cons: Attentiveness of serving staff.
Location: At the end of the corniche, private beach, water-sports available.
VERY long way from some rooms to reception and the dining areas - 0.6/0.7 kilometers! Overall restaurant is excellent, as you might imagine a palace. Some staff are lacking slightly, inattentive at breakfast having to wait until they finish chatting to get a second coffee for example. Luxurious room with a balcony overlooking pool, city or gulf view probably better. Buffet good for lunch and breakfast, room service excellent. Recommended.

Does not stand to it's name "palace"

Nothing astonishing. Just a normal hotel. We were expecting more since we have been visiting different hotels in UAE for some time now. We are not very impressed with this one. It's an OK hotel and that's it.

Fit for a king

Posted 09-Jun-2014
Pros: Beach, rooms, amenities, pool, location, nearly everything.
Cons: Increased choices at the breakfast buffet. Smell test of the rooms. Sufficient seating at reception.
Summer season usually marks the slow season for tourism in Abu Dhabi as the desert heat makes outside activities challenging. But Emirates Palace business is as brisk as ever and along with decent packages comes upgrades. My wife received an upgrade (perhaps due to overbooking) to a suite. There is nothing in Abu Dhabi that I have seen like an Emirates Palace suite. The miles of marble and lush carpets added to the fruit gift and complimentary drinks in the mini-fridge. Brass sinks and a whirlpool tub fit for two along with designer amenities topped off the list of accoutrements. My wife loved the larger-than-life vanity mirror for makeup and the multiple couches and lounge located around the room. Suite access includes lounge access with limited but good quality alcoholic drinks and a nice buffet. Blazing-fast and free internet is a nice perk as well. Nevertheless, I do have three criticisms: 1) the shower area smelled like mildew and their best efforts could not quite erase that smell; 2) the breakfast buffet is of excellent quality but limited in choices in comparison to other hotels; 3) the check-in process was unseasonably long due to the large number of guests. There was limited seating and the usual hospitality of offering drinks and a cold towel was not provided. Still one of the best hotels here. Get the best rates now during summer while you can.

fabulous hotel besidr persian beach

Posted 01-Jun-2014
Pros: pillow and bed are wonderful. i slept like a child. when i woke up in the morning, the view was fantastic. the sun was rising up like a picture.
Cons: receptionist was rude and arrogant. some of staff are really needed customer satisfaction education. they didnt care about traveller's point.
Location: marina mall. ethihad tower, corniche, heritage
Emirates hotel is exceptionally gorgeous hotel. if you dont like just same, modern hotel, here is the best choice. you can feel arabian atmosphere from starting to ending. hotel staff, hotel facility, room, beach, pool, restaurant etc all of things are exceptional. most of hotel staff are very kind. but some of hotel staff are rude and arrogant. they didnt listen and just insist their point. it was a little disappointing.

Unique opulent hotel ideal for a special occasion

Posted 25-May-2014
Pros: To experience the grandure, opulence and elegance of this hotel was amazing. The friendly, efficient staff ensured we felt special.
Cons: Nothing. Our room was at the end of the East Wing, about 8min walk to foyer. Whilst we enjoyed the walk, we could see how some would find this an issue
Location: On the beach overlooking the palace and part of the city. 5 mins taxi ride to Marina Mall, not far from Heritage Village, Gold and Central Souks.
We chose to stay in the Emirates Palace Hotel for a milestone birthday and it exceeded our expectations. We felt like royalty as the friendly efficient staff greeted us as we strolled through the hotel. The bar, butler and restaurant staff also helped make our experiences memorable, especially the BBQ cabana I the beach. I was surprised to return to our room to be greeted by personalised birthday sign and a choc ganache birthday cake dusted with gold flakes - made me feel very special. Amazing experience for anyone wanting a memorable stay in a grand, elegant hotel.

The chalice from the palace has the true brew

Posted 13-Jan-2014
Pros: resort itself, location, food, perks.
Cons: Put a coffee machine in the room, make sure connectivity between laptops and TVs is possible.
Location: On the Corniche (ocean) next to Marina Mall (movies, shopping). Corniche is great for walking and going to a public beach.
My wife and I have stayed in many hotels in Abu Dhabi and truthfully, aside from miles of marble in the bathroom with brass and nickel fixtures, the room offers no better comforts than the premium five star hotels in this area. In fact, no coffee in the room was a bit of a nonplus. But the resort facilities are superior to any other hotel I have stayed at in Abu Dhabi from the free amenities (bicycles, para-sailing, nearly 2 kilometers of blue-flag beach), and manicured grounds to chargeable perks like wake boarding and spa-on-the-beach services. Thanks to Expedia's VIP program, our coral room was upgraded to a pearl room with a balcony overlooking the eastern pool. It is a huge hotel though only 7 stories and has lots of room to explore and have privacy. Kempinski manages the hotel very well with check-in refreshments, on-call butler service, and an array of international restaurants to choose from. My wife and I loved the outdoor bar by the pool after which we climbed into the two-person hammocks nearby. Late checkout was arranged without a hitch (until 2 p.m.) and we were offered the opportunity to continue to use the hotel facilities after checkout free of charge. The hotel is worth just visiting but staying there gave a new meaning to R&R.
