It was OK but biggest disappointment was the smell of the room, must have been a smoking room and that mixed with the deodorising was not pleasant - if you come here make sure you clarify that on check in.

This hotel is very convenient for those wanting to be near ACU and local shopping. It's rooms have exterior entrances but the area is fairly safe. They are under renovation - mostly complete. Staff is pleasant. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Good choice for a quick overnight stay.

Comfortable but could use some repairs
When I received my room the bedding was on the floor. I reported it to the lobby and they informed me that they had just finished their inspection and were about to have a staff meeting. One of the nice ladies went to my room and changed the bedding and cleaned the bathroom area. I did report to the check out clerk that the toilet seat it moves when one stands up. Also, the tub had two round rings that looked oxidation on the water spout side. The bed linen was nice and clean and the pillows were so soft. I slept good. Thank you.

Great value for your money!
We stayed here on our way back home from Austin and had a great experience. The room was tastefully decorated, quiet, and relaxing. The "full" breakfast was abundant and even had a custom waffle maker shaped like the state of Texas! We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Very reliable
We often stop at this hotel on our way to Lubbock, and we have always been happy with it. The rooms are very comfortable, the free breakfast is quite good, the employees are friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Room is filthy. As soon as I opened the door, the light shone on the mirror and it was so dirty. If it hadn't been 1 a.m. I would have asked for another room. Phone wasn't working. When I called office, the attitude was "why do you need the phone?" Said it was ONLY for calling between rooms, not intended for calling from outside (I was trying to call the person I was sharing the room with, whose cell phone had been left at home.) Office insisted my friend wasn't there - couldn't be a phone problem! When I got back to the room, found it plugged in wrong. When I picked it up it was so dirty, I immediately dropped it to the floor and used a paper towel to pick it up! After that, I spent as little time as possible in the room and left the lights off as much as possible to not see anything else. The bathroom did seem fairly clean.

Check your bank statement after leaving.
Close to colleges. I made my reservation and paid through hotels.com. When I checked my account after checking out, I noticed the hotel had billed me an additional 2 times all for the one night stay. Hotel.com did contact the hotel for me to rectify the problem. It was suppose to be credited to my account in 3-5 days. I trust it will be but it is only day 3. Room itself was fine.

This weekend was a getaway for me and my husband and it was all ruined by a hotel stay. The room smelled the key didn't open the first few times we tried even went to the front desk they just kept telling we were doing it wrong. Placement of the hotel was ok.

We asked if we could check in early and they were kind enough to allow us to do this. The problem was the hotel in general was very old it was horrible. The commode was about to fall over. Dead bugs in the corners and had been their for awhile. Their where living bugs as well. When I went to the office and spoke to the manager she advised me this was Texas and they were just beetles. She also blamed the new person(who cleaned the room) saying since we had asked to check in early she did not have time to inspect the room. I'm not looking to get anybody fired. I know we asked to check in early but I am surprised at how awful your rooms are. UPDATE your hotel. This Hotel was not up to standards. At least have somebody go and check out the hotel's. I would not be a proud employee. I am contacting Expedia as well I was so disappointed and I went to the front desk and advised I would not be staying in the Hotel. Staff didn't wear uniforms or name tags; kitchen visible, cluttered, dirty dishes and cabinets; kids ate breakfast and had stomach problems in the afternoon; outdated furniture; rubber baseboards stapled to wall; chipped paint; rusted bathroom hardware; musty smell. Needs to be upgraded.

Doors open to the exterior. At check in, we were "assigned" a two-queen smoking room, though we reserved a king non-smoking room. After waiting about ten minutes while the clerk struggled w/ the computer, she gave us s NS king, saying "this belongs to someone else, but maybe they won't show up". Our room was not cleaned/serviced during our two night stay. When I nicely mentioned this at check out, there was no apology. The clerk said, "yeah, I believe that. We were pretty full yesterday, so several of the rooms got skipped."

Big disappointment
This motel had roaches, nasty bathrooms, and the staff at the front desk were too busy holding hands with each other and watching tv to pay much attention to guests. I am attaching some pictures of the bathroom and roaches in the room. The only positive was that the beds were comfortable.

Getting the job done!
Stayed here for my daughters' freshman orientation at ACU. The hotel is near the college and various restaurants. It's in an area with a lot of hotels, places to eat and gas stations. Hotel was fine, got the job done. This is not a luxury hotel and it's more of a motel. We did just fine. The price was a little high because the hotels around the college were so full.

Stinky, noisy and a place I wouldn't stay again.
We had booked this room 4 months in advance. I specified a non-smoking room with two queen beds. We got the queen beds, but the room smelled like a cigarette factory, so much so that it irritated our eyes. When I called down to request another room they said there weren't any available to switch me to even though it was only 5:00 in the afternoon. I went down to see if there was anything that could be done about the smell and they handed me a spray bottle of odor eliminator. they didn't offer to come do it, so i went back to the room and sprayed it - now it smelled like vanilla cigarettes. I had to take the bottle back down and they said there was nothing else to do. On top of that, every time someone next to us used the water we would get a loud air squeal in the pipes in our room. If they were in the shower, it lasted the whole time. The noise from the interstate was loud and for some reason we got a call at 12:45 am from someone looking for Jay and another one at 6:30 am from someone looking for Joe! I know that wasn't their fault, but it just added to the frustration and lousy night of sleep. I would never stay here again.

Acceptable And Clean Motel Near ACU Campus
All of the staff over a two day period were very friendly. Each morning we were greeted with, "welcome to breakfast" upon entering the small designated breakfast area. In addition to the standard continental breakfast, the hot items one morning included fried eggs, bacon, link sausages, biscuits and gravy. The other morning's hot items included patty sausages, folded egg omelet with a dash of jalapeño, biscuits and gravy. Rooms open to the outside. Bedroom was clean and of a decent size. Vanity are located at end of room. Room contained both a large flat screen TV, a desk with a padded swivel style chair, microwave, mini-frigerator and an iron and ironing board. Bathroom comprising toilet and bathtub is tiny. Before we turned on the air conditioner, the room had a stale "motel air" smell about it. However, this went away after twenty minutes or so with the air conditioner. Our room faced the freeway, so we easily heard trucks and traffic in our room. It met our needs, enabled us to get a good night of sleep and to eat a hot breakfast in the morning.

We loved the room,we were only there to sleep, beds were comfy, and everything was clean, until you walked into the bathroom, it didn't live up to the rest of the place. It was gross, water stains on ceiling,paint peeling, small cramped space between door and toilet, mold in tub and around toilet, and "sprinkles" on the door from the toilet water. Breakfast was hot and delicious and everyone was friendly, but they need to take care of maintaining their bathrooms!

Ok stay, good for one night.
Room wasn't bad, but the lock on my door kept sticking and I had problems getting in and out. Bed was comfortable and they had a decent breakfast. Wasn't bad for just one night.
