Nice hotel, lovely hosts & gorgeous animals!

Cons: Maybe a tele in the room, and WIFI, but i will add that the WIFI works great downstairs and in the bar and there is a tele in the bar also.
Location: Lovely beach within a mile, Great walks and socializing for pets, New Quay is only half an hour drive away.
My partner and I only stayed for 1 night and really enjoyed. We took Oliver (our dog) for a lovely walk through the fields, and he met his first pig! We had dinner at the bar in the evening and it was amazing. The best steak either of us had ever had and cooked to perfection, 10/10 for that, and there was plenty of it, and breakfast. Olly loved playing with he dogs at Fynnonwen and the beach is only a mile away. There were only two minor issues with our little break, 1. there wasn't a tele in the room (I like to watch a little tele before i fall asleep) 2. the WIFI only just reached our room. other than that, great place, great hosts and great night.

Pleasant but VERY TIRED

Posted 17-Sep-2014 on Hotels
Very run down, but comfortable and dog friendly accommodation. More "rooms in a farmhouse" than a hotel and restaurant. Pleasant people run it but not very attentive. Room was spacious and clean. No TV in room nor working WiFi, as advertised. Pleasant area to have a drink and watch a communal TV and get some food. Pleasant location in very quiet area with great views.

Excellent if you want to take animals with you.

Pros: Quiet,
Location: Aberporth Beach is lovely
1 teabag in room, sour milk, no complimentary shower gel etc, cold, bed was comfortable. paid for special deal £150 for 2, 2 nights b@b, breakfast and dinner, first night was a microwave lasagne, the next day was a lovely home cooked sunday lunch. Very shabby. The gentleman owner is a little cold and blunt but his wife was lovely, warm and freindly. The homemade marmalade was the best i had ever tasted.

Excellence not pursued here

Posted 08-Sep-2014
Dogs were allowed to run free in the eating area. The furniture was shoddy. The chair in the room was covered with a blanket with hairs on it. The radiator grille was filthy on the inside. The bathroom was large and clean but the toilet took a long time before a second flush. There was liquid soap at the sink but the shower had no soap or shampoo. The container for the sugar was stained and dirty. Definitely not value for money.

Basic but pleasant

The proprietors were very pleasant and friendly, accommodation basic and in need of some decorating, though comfortable enough. Value for money. The dog was happy and relaxed, and we enjoyed our stay.

Oud en versleten

Posted 15-Jun-2014
