“Great place to stay”
Although it is a little bit out of town, this is a great hotel and we really enjoyed our stay there.
“Lovely spa hotel”
Lovely Hotel in a building modelled on Balmoral, set in the countryside very close to Aberdeen city centre. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. All elements of service as expected for a hotel of this standard. Food in the Blair restaurant from the a la carte menu was excellent, very tasty and reasonable value for this quality. Bar food was also of an excellent standard, and you could order from either menu. We ate in the hotel for 3 meals on our 2 night stay, but did not try the breakfast. The hotel is popular for business seminars are there are plenty visitors from other countries. Our room in the newer extension was of a modern standard and nicely fitted, with double bed, flat TV, kettle & tea/coffee, armchairs and desk, ample wardrobe space, shower & bath in bathroom. The bed had a duvet which was a little warm for summer but comfortable with plenty pillows. Would definitely recommend this spa hotel for a luxury retreat.
“Staff was amazing”
Very late arrival - no problem. Group of hungry HS golfers - no problem. Directions to area golf courses - no problem. Couldn't have worked out better. Plus the staff say it's haunted! Very cool.
“wish we could have stayed longer”
The hotel and grounds were lovely and the spa was fantastic. It is a bit far from the city so dining options are limited but it makes a very peaceful retreat.
“Pleasant stay, friendly staff, good food, convenient location”
I read some of the reviews before staying here and was a little concerned that the hotel might be in bad shape. I found my stay to be very pleasant. The hotel is situated in quiet, quaint surroundings. My room was clean although I would agree with those that think it's probably time to renovate the rooms - they look a little worn. The restaurant was fine. I particularly enjoyed the Shin of Aberdeen Angus Beef. The meat was very tender and flavorful. The Isle of Skye hand dived Scallops were terrific as well. I will stay here again and would have no hesitation recommending the hotel to others.
“Great hotel in nice surroundings”
The Ardoe House Hotel is set in a quiet location near the River Dee, and is within easy driving distance of Aberdeen. The restaurant was very good and the Spa was very good. Would certainly stay there again.
“Keine Preisrückerstattung!”
Das Hotel hat sich nicht bereit erklärt, uns Kosten zurück zu erstatten, da wir wegen eines gestrichenen Fluges einen Tag später am Ziel ankamen und die gebuchte Übernachtung nicht in Anspruch nehmen konnten. Für mich ein klares "ungenügend" im Service, der weitere Besuche an diesem Ort erübrigt.
“Het Ardoe House Hotel in Devenick, dichtbij Aberdeen”
De eerste kennismaking met dit hotel was in 1976, toen het net een eeuw oud was. We waren zeer gecharmeerd van het interieur en waren regelmatige bezoekers van het restaurant. In de tachtiger jaren werd begonnen met een grote uitbreiding waarvan gesteld kan worden dat de aantasting van het oorspronkeijke karakter tot een minimum beperkt werd. Ons recente bezoek was de eerste keer dat we in het nieuwe gedeelte logeerden. Wat opviel was het grote aantal niet-Britse personeelsleden, die overigens bijdroegen aan een goede dienstverlening. De ontbijt service was goed, met de keuze tussen een "Scottish en Continental breakfast". De (Bar)-maaltijden vielen eveneens in de smaak. De kamer was comfortabel, goed aan de maat en compleet. De boeking via Expedia leverde een aanzienlijke korting t.o.v. de standaard prijslijst. Samenvattend ons 5-nachten verblijf kunnen we niet anders dan constateren dan tot volle tevredenheid in algemene zin. Zeer aanbevelingswaardig.
