“Conveniently in Westhill”

5 miles west of Aberdeen, adequate free parking and reasonable shops nearby. Energy saving features will befuddle all Americans (must have keycard in slot to have heat or lighting on, raising heat too fast turns heat off, if the room gets a little too warm air conditioning comes on, heating towel rack requires cold room so heat can be on, etc). Nice Italian restaurant and nice traditional British restaurant attached.

Area recommendations
This hotel is in Westhill near our friends and the Westhill business park. Most people would want to be in the Aberdeen city center (centre) for the pubs etc, but parking and traffic there are both more crowded.

“Christmas Visitors”

Heating system is very eco-friendly, but not what Americans are used to. Hotel staff forgot to deliver wake-up call on last day, which would have resulted in missing a plane. Fitness Center was not open over Christmas, although the website says it is open daily. The website should be updated to say "except holiday periods". Luigi's Restaurant was excellent.
