A friend and I stayed here while attending a wedding in the nearby Layer Marney Tower. A tad hard to find (just at the the very end of Mill Lane) but well worth it when you get there with nice views over the fields opposite.
Room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast was great and very flexible. Julie the owner was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us - even drove us to the venue!!
Lovely house and lovely place -would definitely recommend
Ive used this hotel few times now and every time is as good as last, the food is great, and if you want room service they are so helpful. We've sat and ate in the bar also and its very relaxed with nice comfort. Rooms are well equipped with comfortable beds and plenty tea, coffee etc provided, Recommended if you're looking for a great hotel near Colchester with easy access to all roads
"Great hotel accessible to everything in Colchester"
Staff was uber helpful and kind. Hotel was smack dab in the middle of everything with a taxi stand and bus stops right outside and an entire shopping center just a turn to the right. Great place! Perfect for visiting Colchester.

Said goodbye to car in free hotel car park on arrival as The George is within walking distance of everything in town. This inn has wonderful character, the staff are ever so friendly and helpful, the fires are always burning, the food was better than usual standard "pub grub". It is like a tardis, nooks and cranney's everywhere that create real atmosphere. Can highly recommend.

There has been an ongoing investment in this establishment since my last visit six years` ago.
This has meant a marked improvement in overall standards resulting in a comfortable stay in a spacious, modern room.
The "morning chef" was very attentive to my meal requirements and I left with a very favourable impression of "The Globe,Colchester ".
I wanted accommodation for myself, my mother and the dog in the Colchester area for a wedding, and was lucky enough to chance on Old Wills Farm. Incredible value for money, great room (the triple) with large ensuite, and fabulous breakfast. Jayne was an impeccable host and could not have made us feel more welcome. We are very much hoping to visit again.
