Thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at the Millennium Paris Opera for my honeymoon and my wife's birthday. The staff were both helpful and friendly. When the desk clerk discovered that we were honeymooning,he had champagne and sweets delivered to the room. The building and the room were both very clean and possessed a charm that we very much enjoyed and expected .Our first night we dined in the hotels restaurant and enjoyed an absolutely wonderful meal with knowledgeable wait staff who showed me the benefits of Cognac on steak tartare. We would most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a beautiful place to stay while in Paris.
I recently stayed at the hotel for a weekend with a friend whilst visiting Paris to see a concert. You find yourself spoiled for choice when looking at hotels within Paris but I am so glad we decided on this one! Everything was perfect, the room was beautiful and impeccably clean, with the best air conditioning ever! The staff in the hotel were incredibly helpful particularly with recommending the best ways around the city. The location of the hotel was also perfect, we found that we were actually able to walk most to most places but we did use the metro on several occasions, and it was incredibly easy and very accessible from the hotel. The whole vibe of the hotel was classic yet modern and I am incredibly happy with our stay and excited to return one day soon. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone who wishes to visit Paris.
This hotel is right beside a major metro/RER/train station that will take you directly to all the major sites (Eiffel Tower, Invalides, Palace of Versailles, etc) and easy walking distance to The Louvre and Paris Opera House. Rooms in Paris are smaller than in America in general, so this hotel is no different. It had working A/C, which was very nice after staying in several other French hotels that did not. Clean rooms & helpful staff!
One complaint: Do *not* use their airport shuttle service. We were going to pay something like 65euro to have them pick us up at the airport. After waiting around for 2 hours, it never came. They outsource the service and 'supposedly' our flight on the website was listed as delayed. We called multiple times (difficult to do with no working cell service-- thanks, Verizon.) from the airport's information desk and still never came. Ended up taking a taxi, which only cost 50 euro to get to the hotel anyway. (A little bummed the hotel didn't offer us anything for our trouble over the whole situation, but not sure if that's the norm in France?) Save yourself stress, time, and money and just use a taxi!
Typical style of Paris hotel. Three ladies of advancing years (50-late 70's) spent two very comfortable nights in a family room.(One double, two singles) Very clean, airy room with small ensuite shower room. More than big enough for the three of us to move about. From street the Sacre Coeur can be seen. Easy reach of two metro stations(5 minutes slow walk). Downhill to Trinity Church there is a lively area of typical restaurants and small shops. Although close to Pigalle the hotel is far enough down towards Trinity to be out of the land of clubs and scantily clad ladies. If arriving after 6pm it might be better to walk up from Trinity than down from Pigalle if you would be uncomfortable with the nightlife. Taxi from Gare du Nord would be less than 10 euros and easy to do also. Breakfast of cereal, juice, croissant, pain au chocolat and fresh roll served buffet style was fresh, simple and plenty to start the day. Reception staff very helpful and welcoming. Maids happily left extra shower gel and shampoo when we left a note for them. Hotel is ideally placed for an early visit to Montmartre via metro or monmartrobus. Also recommend boat tour from Pont Neuf in early evening. The Paris transport system enables easy travel to anywhere in the city within a short time. For younger fitter folks walking towards the river through the shopping district and Opera area would be fun.
