Very contemporary, clean, spacious. Staff is extremely helpful. Breakfast adequate but not special. Neighborhood is a bit dicey, but unfortunately, that's more common now in Buenos Aires. Easy walk to the subways, but apparently you don't want to walk there at night. Best to pay in Pesos, rather than in dollars ahead of time.
Comfortable, well priced boutique hotel in a tiny quiet street in classy Recoleta. Our local BA friend didn't feel Palermo was safe enough. We chose 3 in Recoleta from careful online research, then he visited each and chose Serena hands down. Clean modern lines. Bar/dining/patio area is very welcoming. Roomy rooms by BA standards with some carpet stains but generally very clean and attractive. Free wifi works. Small but serviceable and clean workout, spa and pool facilities. Helpful reception staff spoke good English and several went out of their way for us. Downsides: A missed wake up call (use your cell phone for back up) and choose your own taxi service (Pidalo is good), as the one they called charged more. We stayed twice in April/May for 1-3 nights and will definitely return next trip to BA.

Great staff. Free Breakfast was excellent. Free Wireless worked great. Room was very nice for the price. Bathroom is a little small. Would stay there again. Very close to shopping, public transportation and site seeing. We stayed in a junior suite. Because hotel is in the city, you can hear the street traffic all night but it does settle down and we were so tired from enjoying the city, it didn't bother us.
-The hotel is located right in the middle of the action, walking distance to touristic sites, great restaurants, the 'Subte' station is only 10 mins away. Despite the fact that 9 de Julio is the busiest street of BA, the room was quiet, the windows are soundproof I believe.
-The gym is quite small, but perfect for a basic workout with 2 treadmills, stationary bikes and a couple of weights.
-Housekeeping staff is excellent, even though I did not require cleaning every day, they made sure I had fresh towels and amenities available.
-The breakfast buffet offers a good spread of local and international dishes (eg fresh fruits, cereals, cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, bakery etc.)
-The wi-fi worked perfectly well throughout my whole stay
-Requested for late check-out, they have granted me the room till 7 pm with no extra charge
