The hotel is beautiful and has 15 rooms. It is hard to find as it is on the first floor, with no obvious way in. We mistakenly entered via the restaurant but the waiter took us upstairs to the hotel. It is in a good location, 5 min walk to metro stop and 5 min walk to the Eiffel Tower. Lovely bars and restaurants nearby.
The room was small, but I believe this is typical of Paris and it didn't spoil our enjoyment. The decor is amazing. Vibrant, quirky and cool. The hotel is quiet, we never heard noises from the corridors, other rooms or from the street outside. So relaxing.
The mini bar prices were very, very high. €8 for a bottle of water. There is a supermarket pretty much across the road so we stocked the bar ourselves!
The staff weren't overly friendly or helpful. Most of the time they would call out "bonjour" as you passed through but there was no other banter apart from that. There is a restaurant and bistro in the hotel but no one asked if we wanted to book in, offer advise on local attractions or asked if we wanted breakfast.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. It was lovely.

Loved the room, 6th floor looking out on the street. Great view, wonderful linens and hotel staff was the best.
If you have ever heard that the French are not friendly, please stay at this hotel and you will feel very differently.
Wonderful cafes and shops close by and very close to the "open bus" for the city tour. Would stay here again
if we are in Paris.
Hotel Montalembert was a lovely surprise in an ideal location for culture, restaurants and shopping. The staff was not only professional and accommodating, but personable and engaging. In particular, Benjamin, Pascal and Fabienne. They anticipated every need and worked to iron out any unforeseen glitches in our itinerary. Benjamin recommended two exceptional restaurants. Pascal negotiated with a tour operator when our French proved not to be as strong as we assumed! And Fabienne was always smiling and always happy to assist with daily directions, luggage issues or a last minute cab. A wonderful experience all around.
I took my niece for her first Parisian visit and will absolutely return to this ideally located, wonderfully staffed hotel. She was thrilled and went back to California saying how nice the French are and how cool the hotel was. I've stayed at a lot of hotels in different arrondissements and this is the first time I think I'll return to the same spot…and look forward to it!
If you are looking for a place to stay with clean rooms, nice neighborhood and don't mind a small room this is a good choice. The staff are helpful they all speak English and very accommodating, (specially Emelie). When we arrived around 2pm our room was ready and was able to check in. As expected the room we got was a bit tiny, but it was not an issue for us. The room is always clean when we got back to our room after a day of site seeing. The room is quiet even though our room was facing the street corner of Champ de Mars and Rue Cler. Speaking of Rue Cler, this area is where dine almost every night, food is great compared to other place in Paris, though a bit expensive but we are in Paris after all. it is also close to a Metro station (Ecole Militare) very convenient. We love this place!
My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon. The staffs were really helpful and the location was near a metro station and the Eiffel Tower! The room was clean and modern. Only wish the bathroom was a bit bigger. Will def stay here again in the future.
We only stayed one night but will return again and stay longer. A really pretty building, with well appointed rooms and, most importantly, a very comfortable large bed with immaculate linen and lots of soft pillows. A clean bathroom with lots of hot water, a big bath and a powerful shower. Plenty of small touches like fresh flowers in the bathroom, fluffy robes and slippers and a private steam room made it even better. Great places to eat all along the street and easy walking (or Metro) to all the tourist sites. Recommend the Bistrot de la 7e just around the corner for dinner.
