We stayed for 4 nights. This was out 3rd visit. It is hard to find another hotel which is well placed for the beach and Palma centre. We were upgraded to a Supreme Sea View room with terrace thanks to Expedia. Whilst the room had a restricted sea view, it was massive in size. The hotel left us a free bottle of cava and a welcome note. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly.
The bus stops outside the hotel giving easy access to Palma, Soller and Magaluf. You won't beat the sea views and the quality of the food.
Pros: location, front desk service, cabs/bus very easy to get to Palma. Can jump right into sea from a dock. Great restaurants to walk to. Pool in hotel room. Room smell, supermarket 5 minute walk.
Cons: no coffee in room (5 euro per cup if you want to pay downstairs with no take away), no iron in room, generally pricey (140 euro for one hour massage, 60 euro lunch for two people)
Generally very good and pleasant stay. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and very good service. There was a problem with wi-fi in the room which they quickly solved by moving us to an alternative room. Actually room is the wrong word, each is a suite with lounge and 3 piece settee. It was a very comfortable and relaxing environment. We ate very high quality food from the a la carte menu, highly recommended. The tennis courts were not in very good condition and bring your own racket if you want to play (racket grips on the hotel's rackets were destroyed). I agree with the comments it is probably 4+ rather than a 5 star hotel due to these minor things. However, overall a very enjoyable and pleasant stay helped by the excellent and very helpful staff.
Restful time with excellent facilities and staff who wanted to please. House keeping is a let down with regular reminders needed for complimentary water and coffee as well as a failure to clean all used glasses and crockery.
The first thing to say about this Hotel is that the food is excellent, the best Buffet we've ever had and every night was superb.
The Hotel is very smart and beautifully furnished, the room was superb, lots of space and perfectly clean.
The pool is large and was WARM, warm enough to take a leisurely swim at any time.
Plenty of space and loads of sunbeds make for a very relaxing stay.
The downsides ? Only that it's not on the Beach, but it's only a 2 minute walk, so no problem, plus the town itself is smaller than some other Majorcan resorts, however that makes it quiter too.
Overall, first class.
"hotel in extensive grounds near delightful beach"
This is more like a resort than an hotel. Rooms are in 3 storey blocks in a kilometre of landscaped grounds. There are a lot of rooms but the site is so large that you rarely see many people. you can walk around the site or be driven (by staff) in golf buggies.
Breakfast is simply lovely with an enormous choice and an army of chefs and waiters.
We enjoyed our stay here (again) and will return in the future. I stay regularly in hotels and one thing is apparent here - any variation is possible but you have to pay for it. Nothing is complimentary.
We stayed for 3 nights and though our junior suite was expensive it was large with a great bathroom, air conditioning and a large balcony. Worth every penny.
ALL ASPECTS WERE VERY GOOD, FOOD WAS WELL PREPARED, TASTY, WITH INVENTIVE + INTERESTING MENUS. STAFF WERE FRIENDLY + COULDN'T DO ENOUGH FOR US, BUT WERE A BIT SLOW AT BREAKFAST.
EVEN IN MID SEPT, HAVING BREAKFAST + DINNER ON OUTDOOR PATIO WAS A JOY. FREE MINI BAR IN ROOM (SOFT DRINKS ONLY) BUT A LATE BAR SERVICE IN MAIN LOUNGE FOR ALL DRINKS, IF YOU WANTED IT.
VERY LARGE POOL AREA GOT SUN ALL DAY, BUT PLENTY OF SHADE + SECLUDED CABANAS IF YOU WANTED THEM, DRINKS + FOOD BY THE POOL ALL DAY WAS QUICKLY SERVED + FRESHLY COOKED, GREAT BURGERS + TAPAS SELECTION
Lovely hotel on the beach .the restaurant great although not as good as last year but the staff in every area are lovely warm & genuine always ready to assist & generally make the hol good. The evening entertainment is still lacking .except for the vocalist from Liverpool it was a drag in the evenings! But will keep on going for the good points outweigh the not so good.
