I am a very light sleeper and I have slept just as well here as at home. Very comfortable, great views, a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Bravo wasn't quite as good as I was expecting and I really think they should split smokers and non smokers if they allow people to smoke while others are eating but that is my only criticism, the rest was great.
We checked in at 7am in the morning right after leaving our cruise. We had a seamless check-in process at the front office. The employees were very professional and very accommodating since our rooms were not ready. They took our luggage and kept them safe and gave us a quiet room to relax and use the internet and free wifi access since we didn't have our rooms yet. We left to explore the city 2 hours later and when we came back to the hotel later on that day, our luggage was in our room all ready for us. Amazing room if you like the super modern theme.
I've been to several hotels around the world from Hawaii to Asia and Europe and I can say that it was by far the best service I have ever had. From the valet to check-in to the concierge absolutely hands down the best! Our check-in assistant Jasmine, was very knowledgeable and excited to share what Barcelona had to offer where to go eat how to get around where to go shopping. She even remembered our names later on and assisted me with some business calls.
Everyone spoke English proficiently and was above the level what I would consider sufficient.
I work in the Food and Beverage industry and consider myself to be critical when it comes to service. Pricing is too easy a level to compete on! Service must define and separate you from your competitors and The Hotel Arts is World Class!
We stayed at the Ohla Hotel in September and were welcomed with a lovely glass of cava on check in and also received a complimentary bottle of cava in our room. The hotel is well located in the old town and it's easy to get to any where you want to go. We had a room on the 6th floor which was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable so no trouble sleeping! Unfortunately I had a bad cold so we didn't get chance to experience the restaurant and the hotel fully but the breakfasts were excellent.
My husband was unfortunate and had his wallet stolen. The Concierge couldn't have been more helpful,reporting the theft for us and processing the police statement. I would like to thank him and the rest of the staff who helped us. We will not hesitate to stay again!
We stayed at this hotel for a week at the beginning of October. Our room was great ! extremly comfortable beds and exceptionaly clean. I liked staying here so much that i would definately stay here again. The room is quirky which added fun to our stay. Make sure you are definately comfortable in a relationship with your partner. We used the hotel as a base to go off and do touristy things, we were in and out all day. The lift for the hotel is at ground level and reception is on the first floor, so you bypass reception when coming in late at night and your not being spyed on by recpetion staff. The tourist bus is right outside the hotel. Good area , it has some lovely shops when walking to the centre, on the way to the Ramblas, a few good chioces of restaurants around you. The Citrus, good tapas and late night coffee / bars, Gaudi building a few doors away x The staff were brilliant, breakfast was limited but still had a variey of basic breakfast goodies was adequate enough for me. We were on the third floor and heard no niose at all as we over looked the passag de gracia, which is busy , also had black out curtains. Not a 5 star but more of a 4. Check in and out was effortless, very professional, made us feel welcome from the word go and appeared genuine. Over all experience was enjoyable x
