Very well located, on the Nile and very good restaurants in the hotel. Don´t forget to go around in the hotel to see some old ladies making egiptian bread in a very rustic and antik way, very delicious. If one day I´ll came back to Cairo, I will stay at Grand Hyatt Cairo for sure. Very convenient.

I have stayed at this hotel before, and it always delivers. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed rather than bustling, but there is plenty of excitement to be had for the more intrepid travelers. The staff are EXTREMELY courteous and professional, often going out of their way to help. The restaurants are staffed by world-class cooks, and there are several terrace cafes where you can dine and puff on a shisha as you gaze over the Nile.
Excellent hotel in great location. Try all the restaurants as they are excellent. I think this is the best hotel in the area as it is quiet and right on the Nile. Only downside was noises party boats, mostly empty, with music all night.
Excellent property. The hotel is very nice with many amenities. Several different restaurants to choose from with various menus and all very good 5 star Hilton quality food. It is built so that all rooms overlook the Nile River. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and the housekeeping staff are very accommodating. Hotel has a pool and a spa with a Thai masseuse available. A few clubs with dancing on weekends at the night club and a small casino in the basement. Security on the property and in and out of the property is also very good. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay. They do not nickel and dime you to death like so many other hotels nowadays. But then again, I am partial to the Hilton chain of hotels. The concierge on the other hand leaves much to be desired. It is the only reason I gave the staff four stars instead of five. He stands next to the check in desk. Most of the time I found no one there. Even when we called they were hard to get ahold of. They provided very little valuable input to help with local sights. There are no brochures. They printed pages of current local tours which we used as guides. We did their Dinner Cruise which was excellent. There is another desk next to the front door, for tours from an outside company that provides cars, taxis and tours, but they are more expensive. The concierge should have a nice desk with comfortable chairs for guests to sit in, plenty of accessible or available information, a good staff, smiles and patience.
The hotel is part historic and part modern and functional with a lovely swimming pool and gardens. We chose a pyramids view room in the modern part and we could see the pyramids from the bed. Absolutely unique. It is a good place to stay although some of the restaurant facilities seemed only partially open - the 139 Grill was booked for a lavish wedding party (which was fabulous to watch) and the Italian was open but did not really look it. The hotel restaurant itself was good as was the Indian. Not too pricey by UK standards. The hotel has an excellent limousine service which we used to get to and from the Egyptian Museum and didn't cost much (LE 225 all in) given that the hotel is 30 - 40 minutes drive from Cairo central. Don't even think of driving that route yourself! Turn right out of the hotel and a 5 minute walk up the hill brings you to the ticket office for the Giza pyramids. Another 5 minutes walk brings you to the pyramid of Cheops. All the while you will be told that it is a long way, it is not. But the Sphinx is much further down in the valley below. We used the hotel's airport service - fastest I have ever got out of an airport, recommend it. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and so was everybody else we met although the sellers in the pyramid area were borderline. Don't let the baksheesh get you down, just roll with it. We would go back tomorrow if we could. Loved the hotel, left in complete awe of Cairo, loved Egypt and its wonderful people.
