I was a bit dubious about the Sau Rafael Suite Hotel after I had read all the reviews but was pleasantly surprised on arrival. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and even though we had not specified a pool or sea view - we had both.
The buffet was not huge, then again it is not a big hotel, but it was of good quality and there was sufficient variety. The a la carte restaurant was very nice, although the service could have been slightly better in there. The afternoon snacks were excellent and provided something for everyone from sandwiches, salads, fruit, pastries, burger or hot dog.
My husband and I found the staff helpful and courteous.
I would have to say that I don't think it merits quite the 5 stars but definitely a 4 star. It is a shame they cannot provide wifi in the rooms and is just available in the public areas.
In a previous review someone had posted a photo of rusty bathroom door and floor - this worried me but 3 days into the holiday we discovered there was an outside toilet inbetween the two pools ...... so please ignore. Of course, having an iron door outside may get rusty. That was misleading.
I would definitely recommend it for a short break/holiday. There isn't much to do around the area so if you are looking for something lively then this is not for you but if you want a relaxing break go for it.
The entertainment was OK - for a small sized hotel, it was more than enough.
