"Excellent hotel with friendly caring staff."
We are three British ladies on a long weekend in Marrakech. We were met at the airport by a helpful friendly driver and the hotel mini bus. We received a lovely welcome at the reception from Sharieff who spoke very good English and Fatima who explained the all inclusive part of our deal. We were offered cool wet towels and a drink and then shown to our Family Suite. Our suite was very spacious with lots of wardrobe space, televisions, well stocked refrigerator, safe, a tea and coffee making facility, overlooked the gardens and we could see the road. We would have preferred a pool view but decided the room was very nice and we were not going to be in it very much. We used the three restaurants, and all of them were excellent with very good service. The pool area and gardens were very well set out with plenty of sun beds, towels and umbrellas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

"Lovely quiet hotel"
Stayed here with my wife for one week during October half-term. Hotel was a long way from fully occupied, making it very quiet and private (which suited us perfectly). Hardly anyone used the pool and at times it felt as though we were the only guests. Perhaps the only downside was that the restaurant was not open, although food was served around the courtyard and in the sky-bar. Tip: Club sandwich comes with fries and it's enough for two to share. Room was immaculately presented and was made-up every day. No issues with the room apart from the hair-dryer which was faulty. We had a balcony room overlooking the pool area; great. Four minutes walk is the local Carrefour which has a supermarket, cash-point facilities, food court and various shops - everything you need. The Medina is a taxi ride away, and takes between 10 and 20 minutes depending on the time of day. It's easy to catch a cab from right outside the hotel - just stand at the entrance drive to the hotel and wait 2 minutes for one to go by (Cab drivers are constantly on the look-out for tourists and will beep to attract your attention even if you're not looking for one). We spent the day time around the pool - easy to do given that temperature was in the 30's - and went into central Marrakesh for the evening. Great place and easy enough to handle the outstretched hands constantly asking for money. You just have to go with the flow! Don't get stressed. If all else fails, find a cafe seat and take a breather.

"Great for a rest from the chaos of the Medina"
This is a huge but nice resort-type hotel. It’s a 30 minute walk to the city (the Medina). Reviewers complain that it is too far from the action of the city but I chose it because it was outside of the noise and chaos of the city – but walkable if you are in decent shape. The walk is flat and a straight shot right into the city and pretty safe. If you walk slower, it is about a 38 minutes .It was generally quiet near the hotel . There is a shuttle bus that ran every 1.5 hours to the city center and Gueliz. It is reliable and it has 24 seats – but it services 2 Mogador hotels & so it did fill up a couple of times and some people were left behind to wait for the next shuttle. It has 2 large, flower-shaped outdoor pools and a kiddie pool. It has a poolside bar and restaurant However, as an Islamic establishment there is no alcohol served anywhere on the premises. The breakfast buffet was fabulous (June 2010). It had Moroccan breakfast (fried flat bread with honey, cheese and olives) as well as a buffet of meats, juices, eggs, fresh fruit and cereal. The service was also very good and courteous. I had room service a few times to and never had to wait long and the portions were generous. The rooms & bathrooms are clean. The bedding is clean but not fancy. The mattress, quite firm. The AC and satellite TV in my room worked well (channels in French, Spanish, Arabic & English). The “business center” was weak -3 computers (French keyboards) but no printers or English keyboards.

"Nice resort hotel"
Most of the hotel staff are nice. I pre-paid 4 nights through expedia.com but because of missed connection only stayed 3 nights. Upon check-in, the clerk immediately told me to contact expedia.com for a refund for the night that I didn't stay, which was to say that surprised me a lot. Location-wise, the hotel was quite a bit from the center of the town, but then again, all of the resort hotels next to this one are not that close to the center of the town.

"Not worth the effort"
Room was good. Breakfast was terrible, poor service & forced to sit outside in bitterly cold wind, hotel is out of the way
