The hotel is simple and unadorned and within easy walking distance of the centre of town. We walked to it from the CAT station, about 15-20 minutes away with hand luggage!
It is right next to Schloss Belveder, a must see for art lovers, and just a few steps from a guide book recommended Austrian restaurant in a beer cellar, which we sampled twice.
Breakfast at the hotel was excellent: choice, variety, flavour.
The bedroom was adequate but tended to overheat at night, so we opened the windows!
We were upgraded to a suite, which was awesome. One and 1/2 baths, separate living room, huge bathroom, I felt like I had my own apartment in Vienna. Not as close to the old stadt, but close to the Bellvedere Palace and St. Peters Church, and there is a fun brewery restaurant nearby. Close to public transportation to get anywhere. Very easy to get to the airport as the S bahn station is just at the end of the street which connects in one stop to the train to the airport.
If you are visiting Wien for a few days, Mailberger Hof will put you in the proximity of all the must-sees&does.
Even the rooms facing the street are quite quiet. Okay, the mattresses of a **** hotel should be better but the rooms are fair sized. Breakfast lounge was spectacular and the food variety was fairly satisfactory. All day free expresso/capucino & tea in a very nice lounge was another nice gimmick.
Hotel was very cozy and clean with free parking, but with an additional fee for breakfast (~16eur not sure if per person or per room as I stayed there with my wife, we, of course, didn't pay extra fee for breakfast). WiFi might be free but with terrible reception. Only got some reception at the door. Hotel is a bit far from the transportation.
The breakfast was excellent. Had a nice stay at the Das Tigra. The location was accessible to public transactions and all of the sites within Vienna. Comfortable room. I was very pleased with my stay. The staff were extremely helpful.
Truly enjoyed my stay at the Trend Hotel Rathauspark. The hotel was close to the Rathaus U-Bahn and a couple of blocks from the tram line. The hotel was also very accommodating when I arrived with a guest and expedia had not informed the hotel that they were to expect an additional guest.
There is a supermarket down the street and a fridge in the room, so we found it ideal for buying fresh food for breakfast and lunch. You can also be at the centre of Vienna within about 10 minutes after leaving the hotel, so the location is a real value. It's also walking distance to everything which we preferred anyway.
I recommend the hotel 100%.
