A beautiful hotel with all the amenities! The restaurant staff went out of their way to accommodate our every request, the food was fresh & delicious. The gym was fully equip, the pool was great & the hot tub was very relaxing. The views of the harbour are amazing. Sit out on the restaurant deck, have a glass of wine & watch the float planes land & the the boats go by. There are also located right on the walking trails & have running routes available upon request! To top it all off they are pet friendly :)
The Magnolia is conveniently located in center city Victoria within walking distance of many restaurants and tourist attractions. The staff is the core of the Magnolia experience and strives to accommodate guests to the fullest extent. Our initial greeting - arriving late after the restaurant closed - was extraordinary. Without request or expectation, cups of tea and food were brought to our room at no charge. The remainder of our stay was equally impressive. The room was quite large and comfortable, even containing a gas fireplace to enhance its ambiance.
If you stay at the Oswego during the warmer weather don't stay in the '08s. The sun beats down on these rooms & it can become very warm as there are wall to wall windows and no a/c. There are ceiling fans & the staff will bring floor fans for you and there is a balcony which makes the evening very comfortable but too warm during the day.
Otherwise this hotel is perfect. Great location. Quiet. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality appliances. Staff is exceptionally friendly & helpful. And try to find a moment to enjoy a cold craft draft beer at their bar.

We really enjoyed our stay, would have liked to stay one more day to hike Mt. Finlayson to see the view.We were impressed that this resort is really a family friendly resort and so welcoming to all kinds of dogs. It was great to see! The day we left the resort was having a biking event which would have been fun to see. Bear Mountain Resort is a great place to go for the weekend, great options for food either at the hotel restaurant, lounge (fantastic nachos!), or Jacks or the Bear's Den. I was impressed with the size of the resort. I definitely would go again and would recommend the resort to my friends.
