"Great family hotel"
This hotel is perfect for families with small children. We were just there as a couple but noticed that most of the guest were young families. There are plenty of pools and programs for the children. The breakfast food in the buffet was very good and varied. It is on a centeal areas of Torremolinos and being on the boardwalk is a bonus. I would highly recommend it. If you are not fond of children then perhaps an adults only hotel would be a better choice.

"Great hotel"
The hotel was easy to find from Torremolinos train station, and the newly updated entrance was very impressive. The rooms are set out in 3 blocks set around a central pool area. There are a selection of bars open at different times throughout the day, along with a main restaurant and smaller quieter restaurant. The all inclusive deal was fantastic value, we paid £43 per night between 2 of us and that included all meals, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks and various snacks each day until midnight. We were able to get lunch and drinks on our last day after the midday check out until we left for the airport. We were also able to leave our cases enabling us to go out for the day. All staff were extremely polite and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable as were all communal areas. One small issue was very poor inconsistent wifi, but otherwise I would rate the hotel excellent in all areas and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

"Very close to perfect"
It needs to be said this hotel is pretty amazing, the rooms are lovely and cleaned well, mine had a view overlooking the beach and was just awesome. The staff are helpful and friendly it was nice to be advised to make myself comfortable and treat the hotel like my home. The only real flaw here would be the food in the restaurant, it's not very good and a shame to seem mass-produced items and canned fruit when things should be available in high season. My recommendation would be don't do the inclusive there are plenty of restaurants around that you can pick and choose from with much better food. The only other slight thing would be that wifi is not available all through the hotel only in the lobby but not so much of a problem as there are plenty of places to sit and the signal is strong

"Convenient Hotel"
Felt like summer in February, wouldn't personally relish the temperatures in August. Good value hotel, most rooms have a sea view. Road outside main entrance was a bit noisy. Rooftop heated pool made a real difference for a winter break - best place to relax with views over the whole bay and quiet at this time of year. Plenty of choice at mealtimes with children catered for in unlimited buffet format. TV in room shows BBC, French and German news channels, some of the Spanish channels showed the football. Efficient train runs every 20 mins to the airport and on to Malaga to the east, to the west are a park, a cable car and Fuengirola at the end of the line. Water park is nearby but only open in the summer. Beach was about half a mile down a steep alley lined with shops. Pleasant but quiet - none of the watersports had started for the season. Some reviews have noted minimal service and average quality of food which may be fair comment compared to a more expensive hotel.

"Perfect location and Excellent staff"
We stayed at Amaragua Hotel in Torremolinos 26-31 May, 5 people in 2 rooms. The moment you walk into the hotel you get a feeling of quality and you are welcomed by a very nice team of receptionists who would spare no effort in helping guests, they are quite knowledgeable and will provide good advice about the local area attractions. they maintain a pleasant attitude with a smile even when under lots of work pressure. the location is superb, it is literally on a beautiful and clean beach with a nice neat walk and hundreds of very nice restaurants and cafes. the hotel rooms are a bit old style, but very clean , comfortable and quiet. we payed for half board ie. breakfast and dinner- you really don't need to buy any extra food, except if you fancy sampling food from the lovely fish restaurants by the beach. the Hotel restaurant offers a good variety of food to suit all tastes; not the greatest quality, but fairly good. the hotel has a very nice and good sized outdoor pool and there is an indoors pool and spa (which I didn't use). Malaga airport is twenty minutes away by taxi. Granada and Alhambra are about two hours away by bus, well worth a visit! Overall, a very good experience. I would strongly recommend the hotel. If I ever visit costa del sol again (which I may do soon) I will be going to Hotel Amaragua!

Pocket Guide: Malaga Torremolinos 4 stars Hotels

There is more than meets the stereotype to this Anglo-centric seaside resort. While most of Torremolinos is a brash high-rise heaven for fun-loving Brits, the low-rise western part is patronised by the Spanish and has a very different character. Soft golden sands stretch either side of town and there is a huge choice of entertainments by day and night. Aquapark is a white-knuckle water world; Tivoli World is the region’s major theme park.
