First time in Tokyo and we arrived after a 13 hour flight from Toronto. Easy bus service to Shinjuku JR Terminal (West Exit) and hopped in our first Tokyo cab for a 10 minute ride to the Granbell. Lovely lobby and very friendly staff. On the fringes of Kabuchiko's "red light" district, the streets and neighbourhood are very safe to walk and there are many ramen restaurants and local taverns nearby. View of West Torkyo from our window, and very nice hotel ammenities in the bathroom. Very clean and fast serving elevators. Great roof top bar for a drink and the chance to take in the lights of Shinjuku. Found a great treelined walkway with connects hotel with Shinjuku's main avenues, without having to deal with all the video game arcades, hostess' clubs, and gentleman's massage "clubs". The "love hotels" can get to you after a few days, but one is always safe and subject to Japanese politeness.
Very nice comfortable big rooms nd nice facities very ideal for big families nice clean and well lighted barhrooms the staff were very accomodating and understanding they go out of their way to help you
Had an early flight and arrived at hotel before check in time, checked in viathe executive floor and we were allowed to use the lounge till rooms were available. Good experience, friendly staff made our stay pleasant, had breakfast at the lounge as we felt that it was less of a hassle. Rooms were spacious and clean. Loved it!
The hotel staff members are very well trained and helpful and we could get all the information we needed for travelling.
The lost property staff organised EMIS delivery swiftly when we contacted for the jacket my son left behind in the room he stayed. We really appreciate that it was delivered to Australia within two working days without any charge.
I picked this hotel based on the user ratings and proximity to a major train station. It was perfect. Japanese hospitality is a well-known practice, and the Cerulean takes it to another level. The staff was extremely attentive and accommodating to English speakers. Our last day in town, we were running late for the airport and the guest services attendant compared schedules and quickly arranged a taxi to take us to the side of the station closest to the train we needed to catch.
There's a yummy Italian place on the 1st floor and a convenient 7-11 for late-night snacks! As other users have said, the prices for room service and the hotel cafe are exorbitant, but this is the case at almost every hotel in the city. Definitely worth it to pay for a drink at the tower bar though!
