4 Star Hotels in Taipei

Most of Teipei’s four-star hotels are in the city centre, in the Datong, Zhongzheng and Songshan districts, and near both the central business district and Taipei’s biggest attractions.

If you’re in Taipei on business, you can expect four-star hotels with conference facilities and meeting rooms. But if you’re visiting Taipei for fun, you can make the most of the four-star hotels’ tours and ticket services, spas and free WiFi. The majority of four-star hotels in Taipei are independently owned, but you can find some big-name global brands downtown, too.

Luxury Adventures in Taipei

Taipei is surprisingly lush considering it’s the largest urban area in Taiwan. Learn more about the incredible variety of indigenous plants in Taiwan at the country’s oldest botanical garden in Taipei’s historic Zhongzheng district.

At the Botanical Gardens, you can still find buildings from the 1800s’ Qing Dynasty, a rarity as most were destroyed. The Botanical Gardens are huge, with more than 2,000 plant species on display amongst the lotus ponds and greenhouses.

Local Life from Your 4 Star Hotel

Take a day or two to explore Yangmingshan National Park, its mountains, hiking trails and intriguing buildings. Or keep your focus on the world-famous night markets around Taipei. While away a few hours in Shilin Night Market, tasting some of the best food in the country, then enjoy shopping for hand-made bags, jewellery and clothing on the market’s stalls.

Visit the Wanhua district to see more of Taipei’s past at the Longshan Temple. The temple was built in 1738, and despite being bombed in World War II and partially destroyed by earthquakes, it’s still standing and kept in excellent condition.

The architecture of Taipei’s Longshan Temple is beautiful, featuring Chinese dragons and a pagoda roof. Entrance is free and visitors are more than welcome, but donations to help with the upkeep are always appreciated.

No matter whether you’re visiting Taipei for business, pleasure or both, search Expedia to find a a four-star hotel that’s right for your trip.
