4 star Sint-Niklaas, Antwerp Hotels

Founded in 1217, pedestrian-friendly Sint-Niklaas is home to the largest market square in Belgium. The neo-Gothic Town Hall, with its carillon tower, dominates the square. Fifty hot-air balloons lift off from the square during the international balloon festival, held each September. Sint-Niklaas is about halfway between Antwerp and Ghent, with excellent connections to both via rail and highway.
