"Nice hotel, has the potential but not quiet there."
Stayed for 4 nights at the LP, we stayed in one of the garden villas, the villas are fantastic and the spa and outdoor areas / space are really nice. The pool area is nice and the kayaks and SUP boards supplied were a bonus. Loved the rooms and the hotel layout. But this place doesn't live up to the hype, and its not the facilities that let it down its the service, it just seems to be behind the times of what good service is (apart from the housekeeping that was great). The restaurant was probably the most disappointing, and expensive, great dinner mains but don't even bother ordering desert. We both ordered different things and took one bite out of each, even explained to the restaurant manager , but received no compensation still had to pay. Long times waiting to be served or attended to, staff were not talkative and seemed like they didn't want to be there and always stuffing up orders. Meals come out with things missing on the menu. Wifi is supplied but you still have to pay to use it, this is pretty poor these days especially for such a high profile place.

"Comfortable, relaxing with the best view ever."
Our stay was so relaxing with the sound of the ocean and the endless breath taking view from our room. The staff were helpful and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. One staff member really stood out above the rest, Victor who has the best personality, smiling all the time. His flamboyant personality made our stay better than we could have imagined and he sets the resort above the rest. The rooms are clean and serviced daily. The food is plentiful and mouth watering. Lots of entertainment if you wish to experience it or just sit back and have a quiet romantic dinner in one of the bungalows set around the pool or beach. A fantastic resort, definitely should be on everyone's bucket list.

"Nice hotel poorly managed"
Just got back from the Raroatonga and have to say really nice place, lovely staff, but, and its a big but, the whole place has an air of being run by a management who have a rather to keen eye on profit margins. The place was understaffed and the catering in particular was quite average. If the prices had been average to, then that would have been OK, but the prices are expensive. The catering staff are not up to the job, I am pretty sure there was no head chef, its a bit like they are all just out of catering college. The rooms are clean and pleasant, but silly things like radio clocks that are damaged and so are not useable left in the rooms are a bit annoying. The breakfasts that were included in the price were again, OK. However I not once had a coffee that was not tepid and some of the cereals had obviously been sitting somewhere for quite a while before being used. Things did disappear for a while and it took at least 3 trips to make sure you got a decent breakfast as the turn over and replenishment of the various foods were not quite in order. Don't get us wrong the Raratonga is a lovely place situated in a great setting, the beds are clean and the staff lovely, but if you spend money in any of there restaurants you will come away feeling slightly taken to the cleaners. Our advice is walk out the front, turn left, 4 mins up the road, next to the dive shop really nice little cafe, friendly and attentive owners and what we had from there was nice and well priced.

"Perfect location wonderful staff, best holiday yet"
Happy, lovely staff, superb tropical gardens. Take a few steps off the beach into a shallow lagoon and snorkel till your heart's content. While you're taking in the island views from your beach lounge, your cocktails are brought to you from the bear foot bar. Plenty of choices when it comes to water activities, just visit the beach hut and the guys are more than happy to help you out with the gear you'll need. Blair the head gardener took a small group of us on a tour of the gorgeously lush gardens. Truly a tropical resort, with a real island feel. Loved everything about our stay from the people, the accommodation, the gardens, the location, the activities available to guests.

"Excellent hotel, but..."
The Nautilus is a lovely resort. The place is beautifully crafted, high level of facilities, excellent food with great preparation, clean, staff friendly but unobtrusive. You even find a bottle of Brut as a welcome gift. All the negatives came from external circumstances. We stayed 4 days in June, the sky has been grey throughout, rain has not been a fixed guest. Wind has been strong and constant, so that the place (or at least the East Coast) is highly advisable for kite surfers, who in fact are in control of the beach. We have seen mosquitos from several countries, but watch out for these ones. They are extremely aggressive, refractory to all repellents, and mostly invisible. You are lucky to see one, let alone killing it. You'll only feel them after they bite you. This is not a minor thing, in view of the viruses that these mosquitos spread around. There is an outbreak of several tropical diseases, from Chankanunga (spelling to be checked!) to dengue. The lovely pool we had just outside our room was not usable, only a polar bear could dive into it. In conclusion: excellent resort, but all spoiled by weather and outside conditions

"The Best Of Both Worlds."
I have been to Rarotonga many times, in fact its my favourite place to stay in the Pacific Islands. One of the things that I love about Rarotonga, is there are all sorts of accommodation to suite all your needs and a great variety of international places to eat as well, excluding all the major international fast food chains is the best move that any tourist destination has ever done in my personal opinion. Unlike most places where you can be trapped on a resort , here you have the ability to get out and about the island at little cost, either by bus or motor scooter hire car and enjoy all the great beaches around the island and literally get into the true understanding and the meaning of those words, Island time. If you want to relax, get the sand between your toes and turn the outside world off, I highly recommend Rarotonga as the best destination for the three B's in the world, Beach, Book and a cold beer , as it works for me every time.

"Very nice resort Hotel with great facilities."
Enjoyed this resort thoroughly. Clean and recently renovated rooms that are very comfortable. We had the Unit with its own pool and outdoor area which was very private and exactly what we wanted. However, you could enjoy the resort pool and lagoon for snorkelling and swimming. The beach was cleaned every day of any debris so you could walk bare foot with comfort. The staff were very attentive and helpful and the cocktails were very good and priced well. All in all if you want to relax and recharge the energy levels this resort is the place for you to go. The cultural evening on the Thursday night was also very good and I would highly recommend.
