Fantastic service. Beautiful hotel in a lovely countryside setting. Good breakfast.
Only quibbles, poor WIFI reception in the bedroom, no English channels on TV and noise from adjoining rooms. All is all this is a very nice hotel and excellent value for money.

This was a perfect choice as the hotel is ideally situated across from the beach and close to some very fine restaurants, like L'Angolo di Mario just a short walk away. The staff was professional and helpful, especially Elena and Eleonora who both went out of their way to make us feel special. The breakfast buffet is inspired and the capuccini were delicious. Our room was on the side with a terrace and partial sea view. Parking is convenient and not too expensive. We're definitely going back next year.

This hotel is a member of a chain, and perhaps that is part of the problem. It is listed as 4 star, but desperately needs remodeling. It promises the world in services, conveniences, and luxury, BUT it doesn't deliver. It's a basic hotel, good location, but not luxurious, not even close. It promises jetted tubs, down comforters, COMPLIMENTARY breakfast and garage, balcony, etc. NONE of which are true. Be careful before you book, or just know what you're in for... t
We stayed in this hotel nine years ago and looked forward to revisiting it. While it is unique in many ways and wonderfully quiet, but it is expensive and does not have facilities that are as good as other four star hotels we had in Ravenna and Bologna on this trip. Breakfast was the only meal available. It was excellent, but the price was not included in the room charge. €11 p.p. on top of €135 is a bit steep.

From my Australian perspective this Hotel is well positioned - next to the old part of town but you are required to walk back the way you drove/walked in and swing a left, cross the bridge over the water way and go straight ahead. We ate an evening meal at the restaurant first on your left which is tucked away a little and is part of another hotel. This is just once you enter the mentioned street/walkway leading into the old town. The Augustus Hotel - we ordered a twin room and received a double room with a roll out bed - watch this issue when booking into your room. We mentioned this on departing and they said they thought we were going to be more comfortable with a roll out bed -? We could not get to the fridge without moving the roll out bed. It's probably our fault for not raising the issue immediately, but after driving for hours in pouring rain one does not need another argument. The facilities are very clean - bleach clean. The bathroom was geared for a handicapped person. I was unaware of the obvious need for such a room. When did you last sit on the seat and not touch the floor? The shower - we Australians like to shower daily - set aside a bit of time - the pressure was so poor one could almost dry yourself whilst standing under the shower. Be advised, there is a fast train line between the Hotel and the beach - the windows are double glazed! The breakfast was magnificent and worth the stay just for that and the location.
