The staff are exceptional and the cuisine a surprise with outdoor dining a delight. The hotel location is ideal for sight seeing in the area. The hotel is within a small cosy historic village on a quiet section of the river. Sleep came easily in this very high class offer - in terms of value for money - such a high quality offer comes at a very modest fee. Enjoy!

We booked late but were still able to secure a room of ample size for a family of 4. The welcome we received was incredibly friendly and a glass of champagne on arrival certainly helped relax us after a long journey. We ate dinnner in the restaurant 3 times and the food and wine were stunning. The breakfasts are perfect. The grounds are beautiful and exactly what you expect of a chic hotel in the Dordogne. If you are an intermediate golfer looking for a challenging 9 hole golf course, this place is perfect. We walked the course one day and it is simply stunning, with a good mixture of challenging par 3's and 4's. There is little to fault this hotel but our one criticism is the lack of staff at breakfast and sometimes at dinner, meaning the service can be patchy from time to time. We don't often recommend hotels but loved this place. It is the perfect place to escape to in a beautiful part of the world. They are hugely hospitable to couples and families alike. I'm amazed anyone finds any real negatives with this place!

This is definitely luxury accommodation but we decided to treat ourselves for the last few days of our holiday. Ideal for the golf enthusiast but also a great location for touring small, local vineyards. I read mixed reviews in advance about the restaurant but decided to risk it and was rewarded with an excellent meal, so clearly it is consistency that is the issue,
So the overall experience wasn't cheap but we did get decent value for the money we spent.
Stayed here before, five or six years ago, and chose it again because it has parking outside or garage parking for 13eu a night. No restaurant, but that is not a problem as so many good place to eat in the town. Staff very friendly and always there to help. Would recommend to anyone as standard is absolutely excellent.

Wonderful hotel with a very friendly staff. A stay in this tranquil chateau is something that I would recommend without hesitation. Modern decor has been tastefully added to complement the old building. There are quite grounds and a good swimming pool. The food is magnificent. We dined at the hotel four times and ate some of the best food we have ever tasted anywhere in the world. The hotel is a 15 minute drive from Perigueux with its historic buildings.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting the painted caves of the Dordogne Valley. The rooms were very comfortable and the park-like grounds of the hotel were beautiful. We had dinner here on the first night and whilst being rather espensive it was a delicious meal. There is so much to do and see in this area of France we would have liked to have stayed longer.
